Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 133 by Ansel Bick
Milo, Cillian, and Hailey practically turned to stone.
Cillian couldn't help but pity his junior. She was tied to such a reckless husband who was willing to discard his own flesh and blood.
And yet he paraded his mistress around every day.
Milo realized Bianca was hiding too many secrets. She had kept her pregnancy completely under wraps. Was she planning to keep her ex-husband's baby in hopes of rekindling their romance?
But if Mathis didn't even want the child, why should she bear that burden alone?
Xanthe was terrified and entirely unsure of what to do. "Should we tell Mathis the truth?"
Simon was hesitant as well. "Bianca practically begged me to keep it a secret."
But the situation was already at a breaking point. Simon dialed Mathis's number. "Do not abort her baby. Her uterine lining is extremely thin. If you put her through a D&C, there's a very high chance she'll never be able to conceive again. I'm begging you, let her go."
Mathis's face darkened. "So she'd rather confide in you than tell her own husband?"
Simon maintained his composure. "What happened with you and Cynthia absolutely shattered her. Besides, she only found out by accident when she was hospitalized."
"I don't need you to remind me of my failures. I know exactly what I'm doing."
Mathis hung up. A few agonizing minutes later, Bianca was wheeled out of the operating room.
Her eyes were empty and hollow. Simon immediately rushed to the doctor. "Did you perform the surgery?"
"We almost did," the doctor replied. "Mr. Jagger called and stopped us just in time."
When Bianca had woken up on the operating table, she had cried and begged them to stop, but they had ignored her entirely.
They only halted the procedure when Mathis gave the order.
A collective sigh of relief washed over the group.
Bianca's voice was devoid of emotion. "I didn't hide my mother's death from you, but you made your choice. Since that day, I knew I could never rely on you."
Staring at her pale face, Mathis pleaded, "Can you just trust me one more time?"
"Sure. Let's go to the courthouse on the ninth."
Mathis shook his head. "I'm not letting you go. Have the baby. I'll raise it as my own."
"I don't need your hypocritical charity, Mr. Jagger. Aside from the divorce, we have nothing left to talk about."
Bianca turned her head away and closed her eyes. Everything had gone right back to square one. All she could do now was wait for the separation agreement to take effect.
She couldn't fathom why Mathis had suddenly gone back on his word, but she didn't care to figure it out either. Trying to understand what went on in his head was a lost cause.
"I'm not withholding what I promised you," Mathis said quietly. "You'll still get everything. Once Grandma recovers, I'll send you both to Austin City."
