Bianca dismissively replied, "I've seen far more disgusting things. Before I came to Austin City, they were practically all over each other in front of me for three weeks.

I'm not going to let irrelevant people piss me off. Thanks for caring, Milo."

Milo was thrilled as long as he heard she didn't care, relieved she wouldn't spiral into depression over it.

"Pregnant women need to stay in a good mood." He added a moment later, "If you ever want to go after Aeterna Dynamics, just ask for my help. I might not play in the finance sector, but I can provide the funds and the network. I'm not afraid of going head-to-head with Mathis."

Bianca felt deeply moved, her eyes growing slightly damp.

It wasn't that she hadn't considered it, but going up against a financial titan like Mathis Jagger meant she had no chance of winning with her current capital and resources.

"I don't have the energy or the ability for that right now," Bianca said, touched. "Wait until I finish the patents on hand and have this baby.

But thank you, Milo, for always looking out for me."

The paths Mathis refused to pave for her, Milo laid down without a moment's hesitation.

The difference between the two men was night and day.

Milo laughed, "I'm a naturally nosy guy who loves a good show. If you could actually tear a chunk out of Aeterna Dynamics right out of Mathis's hands, my family might just dedicate a whole page to me in our genealogical records."

Bianca knew he was deliberately downplaying his own sacrifices.

The better Milo treated her, the more guilty she felt.

"I stand by what I said before. I don't want you wasting your time on me; we really aren't right for each other."

Milo took a deep breath. "I know, but I can't help wanting to treat you well. I just like seeing you happy.

In a world entirely driven by greed, it's rare enough to find someone I'm just biologically drawn to. Let me be stubborn just this once! I'll wait for your divorce."

The sudden confession left Bianca entirely flustered. "Milo, I don't know how to repay you for this. The thing I hate most is owing someone."

Milo, however, felt a surge of joy. She didn't owe Mathis anything, but she owed him.

"Yeah, you more than deserve it."

He sent another massive pile of premium health supplements to Bianca's house.

Bianca laughed, "Mabel and I are going to get a nosebleed from all these nutrients."

Soon, it was the day of Mathis's birthday. He called Bianca first thing in the morning.

She answered reluctantly. His voice was a bit softer than usual, "Bake me a birthday cake today, and I want a present too. I'm in Austin City. You're spending the evening with me."

Bianca wanted to ask where he got the sheer audacity, but before the rejection could leave her lips, he cut in, "I've given you so much money and so many things. You're not really going to refuse to give me a single cake and a present, are you?"

For the past three years, Bianca had prepared a gift and a handmade birthday cake for him.

He was a notoriously picky eater and refused to eat cakes bought from bakeries.
