Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 148 by Ansel Bick
Mathis called back instantly. "What's the situation?"
Milo's frantic voice echoed through the speaker. "She's about to miscarry. The doctors are asking me what to do! I don't know what to do!"
"Send me the hospital's location," Mathis ordered darkly. "I'll handle the arrangements."
Within moments, a team of top obstetrics specialists flooded the emergency room to perform an emergency C-section on Bianca. As for whether the 24-week-old baby could survive, no one dared to make any promises.
When the baby was delivered, the doctors discovered it hadn't developed properly. One of the lead specialists stepped out to update Mathis.
Mathis's voice was deadly calm. "Proceed with the worst-case scenario."
Bianca finally regained consciousness at five in the morning. Staring down at her suddenly flat stomach, she desperately grabbed the maternity nurse at her bedside.
"Where is my baby?"
Tears began streaming down her face even as she asked.
She had thought she would safely deliver her child. Now, she was left with absolutely nothing.
The nurse rushed to get the doctor. The doctor came in and gently explained the situation. "You were miscarrying when we tried to save you. Your friend notified your husband, and he brought in the best specialists in the city, but we still couldn't save the baby. I am so sorry for your loss."
Bianca stared blankly, completely hollowed out. "Where is the baby? At twenty-four weeks... the baby was already fully formed."
"We have already taken care of the remains."
Bianca could no longer hold back the tidal wave of agony. She broke down, sobbing uncontrollably.
The physical pain of the C-section still burned, but her child was gone.
She stared at the ceiling, her heart twisting into agonizing knots.
She had fantasized countless times about how happy they would be once the baby was born.
All of it had just shattered into thin air.
Later that morning, Theodore called her. "Bianca, your grandmother and I are planning to drop by to see Mabel. Send me your address."
Theodore was boiling with rage. "If the Quinns think they can murder a Jagger heir, they've got a death wish. Mathis, I don't care what your relationship is with that woman. You will cut off all contact with her immediately. She murdered your child."
If Mathis had claimed the baby wasn't his in that moment, Bianca would have gladly revealed the truth.
But he didn't say a word about it.
Instead, he finally spoke. "Grandpa, I've checked with the police. There is no evidence proving Cynthia tampered with Bianca's car."
Bianca knew that even if it was his own flesh and blood, he wouldn't care—let alone when he thought the baby belonged to another man.
She laughed, a harsh, mocking sound. "How strictly impartial of you, Mr. Jagger! Are we in a courtroom right now? Do we need air-tight proof beyond a reasonable doubt?
My pregnancy was perfectly fine until that Stellaride video went public. Someone found out I was pregnant, and suddenly my car gets in a 'freak accident.' What a coincidence!"
Tears spilled silently down her cheeks as she spoke.
She looked up at Theodore, begging, "Grandpa, please... I need you to get justice for me."
