Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 155 by Ansel Bick
The wealthy wives attending the gala were all legitimate spouses, and their eyes filled with absolute disgust as they looked at a mistress like Cynthia.
If you were going to be the other woman, you should at least have the decency to stay hidden. Who constantly flaunts their illicit affair on social media?
Why hadn't Mathis's real wife come forward to cause a scene?
The women were practically vibrating with curiosity.
No matter how powerful Mathis was, they suddenly wanted nothing to do with him. What if he ended up being a bad influence on their own husbands?
How utterly tacky!
The very same socialites who had eagerly swarmed them moments ago now scattered with lightning speed.
Suddenly, the space around Cynthia was completely empty.
Her face turned a sickly shade of pale. Mathis, however, remained entirely unfazed. "Don't mind them," he said coolly.
Ingrid was immensely satisfied watching everyone flee.
She shot Cynthia a triumphant glare. "Of all the things you could be, you just had to be a homewrecker."
Cynthia opened her mouth to defend herself, but Ingrid cut her off. "Oh, save me the cliché about how 'the one who isn't loved is the real third party.' That's just the garbage you people use to lie to yourselves. If Mr. Jagger actually loved you, why hasn't he divorced his wife to marry you?"
Cynthia's expression worsened, but Ingrid didn't care in the slightest, pressing on. "You're just a temporary plaything. Don't flatter yourself. He's not getting a divorce because once he's tired of you, he plans on going right back home to live happily ever after with his actual wife!
Posting about him online every single day... If I were you, I'd find a hole to crawl into. It's embarrassing."
Tears pooled in Cynthia's reddening eyes. Voice trembling, she looked up at him. "Mathis... is it true? Are you just playing with me?"
Mathis spoke to her gently. "Of course not. She's just jealous. You know exactly how I feel about you."
When she discovered he was cheating, her heartbreak turned to rage.
The man she had pined over for years turned out to be absolute trash.
Terrified that Mathis might expose her old crush right then and there, Ingrid awkwardly backed down and returned to her seat.
She cursed the SDK organizers for being blind enough to invite such trash and told Karis to never buy their products again.
"Absolutely," Karis agreed. "I won't spend a single dime on SDK next year."
Milo teased her. "I thought you loved their jewelry, Ingrid?"
Ingrid rolled her eyes. "Even if I love it, the thought of it being worn by such a repulsive woman kills the appeal."
Milo chuckled and gave his sister a subtle thumbs-up.
