Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 173 by Ansel Bick
Harlowe shook her head. "Not yet."
Cynthia sneered maliciously. "When we find her, I'm going to have a gang of men ruin her. I won't let her have a moment of peace after what she's put me through."
Harlowe found nothing wrong with her daughter's twisted logic. "Don't worry. You barely survived, and your father is furious. If anything had happened to you, I wouldn't have been able to live."
Though Neville Quinn had married Harlowe, he had never stopped his rampant philandering.
To Neville, the women outside his marriage were always far more enticing.
Cynthia spoke with chilling calm. "Mom, I'm destined for great things. I won't end up a walking curse like her. She brought death to her own grandmother. Even if Mathis wanted her back, the Jagger family would never let that jinx back into their home."
Harlowe agreed wholeheartedly. "Thank God your grandmother forced her to change her last name back then. Otherwise, that wretched woman might have brought her bad luck down on us."
...
Inside his office at Dawnstar Capital, Mathis sat staring blankly at his computer's screensaver.
It was a photo he took years ago at a competition in Harbor City.
Dressed in her uniform, Bianca didn't just look stunning—she practically glowed, radiating life.
She was the woman who had captivated his soul for ten years, yet in the end, she had wanted him dead.
Zane knocked and entered to deliver his report.
"Mr. Jagger, Hector Goodwin has arranged for a mandatory two-year separation period to finalize the divorce."
Mathis suddenly remembered the courier package he received at Progenix Tech. He frowned. "Can it take effect even if I didn't sign anything?"
"Yes." Zane softened his tone, afraid his boss might snap. "I consulted Mr. North. He said the courier's delivery receipt serves as legal proof of notice. Your refusal to acknowledge the separation doesn't stop the clock; the court only looks at her chain of evidence. She left simply to ensure there is absolutely no tie between you two during this period."
Mathis's expression darkened. "She really racked her brain to find a way out of this."
Zane cursed internally. You're just realizing that? Your wife is incredible, but you're the one who had to go and get a mistress.
Suddenly, Mathis recalled the night in Austin City when he had carried Bianca into the living room.
