Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 194 by Ansel Bick
Mathis stumbled slightly, almost losing his balance. Fearing he might drop Aveline, Bianca instinctively reached out to steady his arm.
"He's telling the truth. Even if you hadn't cheated, I would never forgive you for what you did to Mabel. Not in this lifetime.
Hold her securely. You have two kids, but Aveline is my only daughter. She is my entire world, and I will never let her play second fiddle to anyone."
Mathis stared at her, his face a tight mask. "Are you mad because I didn't chase after you this afternoon?"
"I don't care that you didn't choose me," Bianca replied coldly. "I care that you didn't put Aveline first.
It's my own fault for being too weak to protect her. But if you truly don't care about her that much, give her to me."
Mathis didn't say a word. Looking utterly defeated, he walked out with Aveline in his arms.
Bianca stared down at the crushed roses on the floor and turned to Milo. "Milo, I only took those flowers so you wouldn't lose face in front of Mathis. Please don't send me anymore.
There's no chance for us. I have too much on my plate right now."
She couldn't let Aveline lose her father right now, but she had absolutely no intention of letting Cynthia off the hook.
She was going to set a trap, and she wasn't just up against Cynthia—she was up against the full weight of Mathis's power protecting her.
Orchestrating all of this would take everything she had. She had neither the time nor the emotional bandwidth for romance.
Milo let out a soft sigh. "I know you're not ready to accept me yet, but I'm willing to wait. Come on, let's go grab dinner!"
As they piled into the elevator, Bianca asked him, "Did you really fly all the way to Kingsbridge City just to take me to dinner?"
Milo answered honestly, "Not exclusively. My sister is hosting an art exhibition here, and I'm also attending the Developer Conference. I had no idea Mathis would be here tonight. It's just been a while since I saw you, and I wanted to bring you some gifts to cheer you up."
