Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 200 by Ansel Bick
He practically snarled. "Jax Holden, exactly what power do you have to protect her? Need I remind you that without the three million she handed you back then, you'd be rotting on the streets right now? And that money came directly from my pocket."
Jax glared back with unfiltered venom. "Maybe I don't have your billions, but I would never force her to do anything against her will. All she's ever gotten from you is trauma. A psycho like you doesn't get to talk about love. You've completely desecrated the word."
Milo noticed the bleeding bite mark on Mathis's arm and instantly deduced that Bianca had fought him off.
If they had arrived even a minute later, there was no telling what this lunatic might have forced her to do.
"Mr. Jagger," Milo said coldly. "You've driven her to severe clinical depression. Are you really not going to let her go until you literally push her into a grave?"
"I will never let her die," Mathis stated, his voice absolute.
Murderous intent flashed in Bianca's eyes again. "Being near you means one of us is going to end up in a body bag. Do your daughter a favor and accumulate some good karma. Don't make her an orphan."
Mathis's entire demeanor shattered. All she wanted was for him to drop dead.
While Mathis stood paralyzed in his own shock, Jax and Milo immediately rushed Bianca out of the hospital.
During the drive, Milo's phone rang incessantly. From the tone of his conversations, Bianca quickly realized he was dealing with a massive crisis.
When he finally hung up, he didn't bother sugarcoating it for them.
"Mathis just weaponized his contacts to freeze the regulatory approval for my new game. The license was kicked back."
Mathis had seen him with Bianca at Stellaride last night and immediately went for the throat. A small-time player like Milo Wilder daring to steal his woman? Unacceptable.
Joyride Games had easily dumped a nine-figure budget into early development alone, not even factoring in the marketing blitz. It was supposed to be the company's biggest launch of the year.
Bianca's brow furrowed tightly, overwhelming guilt washing over her. "I'm so sorry. I dragged you into my mess again."
Milo genuinely didn't care. "Don't sweat it. I'll figure out a way to handle it."
