Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 208 by Ansel Bick
Mathis was a man who ruthlessly exploited every single advantage handed to him.
After waiting a few moments, she replied casually: [Are you eating at my place?]
[Yes. Aveline likes fried sauce noodles, sweet and sour pork, and vinegar-glazed cabbage. Remember to use organic vegetables. You cook better anyway; Aveline has never had a meal cooked by you.]
[Okay!]
Bianca didn't overthink it and immediately asked her housekeeper to prep the ingredients.
She tied on an apron and got to work, even simmering a rich pot of cuttlefish and pork rib soup on the side.
When Mathis arrived with Aveline, Bianca was busy in the kitchen.
Seeing her slender figure through the glass door, Mathis felt an intense wave of nostalgia. It felt exactly like the days before their marriage fell apart.
Back when he was critically ill, the happiest part of his day was coming home from work to eat dinner with her.
Bianca used to cook all sorts of elaborate dishes for him. He had genuinely loved the quiet moments they spent alone together.
Whenever his health allowed, he would wash the dishes and fold the laundry by her side.
He felt he had genuinely contributed to their marriage. Growing up, he had never lifted a finger to do a single chore.
So why did she act like none of it ever happened?
The memories were suffocating. Now, everything was shattered, and the only thing that could even get her attention was Aveline.
Thank god he had managed to keep Aveline safe back then.
The housekeeper helped bring the dishes out to the table.
Aveline sat happily in her high chair, clapping her little hands together. "Mommy, great!"
Bianca beamed. "This is Aveline's first time eating Mommy's food. You have to eat until you're completely full!"
Wilma had already set out Aveline's tableware.
Mathis suddenly ordered, "You guys go eat somewhere else. I don't like being disturbed when I eat."
Bianca's housekeeper looked incredibly awkward.
Bianca had no intention of ruining the mood by fighting with him, so she just waved her hand at the housekeeper, signaling them to leave.
Mathis picked up some food and placed it carefully into Aveline's bowl.
