Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 209 by Ansel Bick
The person on the other end held their ground, and Mathis demanded again, "Is there really no other way?"
"There is no other option," the voice replied flatly.
Mathis pinched the bridge of his nose, looking utterly exhausted. "Fine. I'll head over after dinner."
He exhaled sharply. "When exactly is this going to end?"
"We'll wrap it up as quickly as possible. Just make sure there are no more slip-ups in between. You know the deal."
Mathis scowled, his patience completely shot. "I know."
After hanging up, he slammed his phone angrily onto the dining table.
Bianca was entirely absorbed in interacting with Aveline. She didn't even flinch at his outburst and just calmly continued feeding their daughter.
She suddenly felt incredibly lucky. Aveline was a child who ate without any fuss, which saved her so much stress.
She looked up to confirm with Mathis again, "Are you really willing to leave Aveline with me?"
"Mhm!"
Bianca calculated her next words carefully, testing the waters. "Could you just give me full custody of Aveline?"
Mathis replied cautiously, "Let's just share custody. You take her four days a week, and I'll take her three. Does that work for you?"
After he spoke, he stared intently into Bianca's eyes, desperately hoping she would finally stop blaming him.
This was the absolute biggest concession he could make; he couldn't bear the thought of being completely separated from Aveline either.
What he didn't know was that Bianca fully intended to secure custody and then launch a merciless revenge campaign against him.
Afraid that pushing too hard would trigger Mathis's paranoia, Bianca quickly backed down. "Alright. We'll stick to that arrangement."
After dinner, Mathis handed Bianca an elegant box of custom-made incense.
"I had someone specially craft this soothing blend; it'll help you sleep.
If you're open to it, I can also arrange for you to see a top psychologist. You shouldn't drag out your depression any longer."
Aside from Aveline, Bianca wanted absolutely nothing to do with him.
She rejected it flat out. "No need."
She refused to take the incense.
