Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 228 by Ansel Bick

After finishing her sentence, Bianca held Aveline tighter and prepared to excuse herself. She could clearly read the hostility in Ingrid's eyes, and she had zero interest in getting tangled up in the Wilder family's internal drama.

But Milo stubbornly insisted she stay until she finished her meal. He declared loudly, "You are my friend, and it's dinnertime. I'm not letting you leave on an empty stomach. I don't care who has a problem with it."

He remembered that when Bianca first moved to Austin City, she loved the local southern coastal cuisine, so he had specifically flown his personal chef out just for this.

Without waiting for an answer, he practically dragged Bianca back into the dining room.

Once inside, Bianca asked about Corbin and Ingrid's relationship. Milo explained that they were dating.

"My sister has a bit of a one-track mind. She had this massive, unrequited crush on Mathis for years. Then she found out Mathis was cheating, and somehow she ended up falling for his cousin instead. If you ask me, all the Jagger men are trash. Getting involved with any of them is just asking for bad luck."

Bianca said, "Theodore is actually a very decent man. He never messed around with women and dedicated his whole life to his empire. I don't know how he ended up raising a family full of men like that."

Jules, Raymond, and all three brothers were notorious for playing around, and Corbin's reputation over the years had been just as scandalous, constantly trending online with various models and influencers.

Mathis was the most bizarre of them all. He had an illegitimate child with his mistress, yet aggressively dragged out the divorce with his actual wife.

Milo joked, "Maybe the Jagger family's baseline genetics are just cursed. Theodore was a once-in-a-century genetic mutation, and the rest of them just reverted back to the factory setting of trash. My sister used to loudly proclaim she'd never tolerate a cheating man, but who knows how Corbin, of all the playboys, managed to charm her.

"Maybe because he looks a little bit like Mathis, so she's using him as a stand-in for her fantasy romance?"

That was a massive piece of gossip. Bianca was genuinely surprised. "Your sister is a gorgeous, wealthy heiress. She shouldn't have had such a desperate obsession with Mathis, right?"

Milo took a sip of his savory short rib soup and said, "Her obsession with him ran deep. If Cynthia hadn't been flaunting their romance all over the internet and driving my sister insane, she wouldn't have given up on Mathis so quickly.
