Mathis glared at her. "Who told you I don't love her?"

Bianca scoffed. Didn't Mathis always prefer to act like he didn't know her in public? It would be best if they stayed complete strangers. She was sick of these deep, fake confessions.

Ingrid pushed further, "Then why are you divorcing her?"

"She's the one who wanted the divorce. Besides, what goes on in my marriage is none of your business. Keep your mouth shut about my relationship with her, or I promise I'll make you regret it." Mathis yanked Bianca toward him, his face dark with displeasure. "Stop associating with these people, especially when you have our daughter with you. Ingrid is out of her mind."

Large tears began rolling down Ingrid's face again.

Bianca glanced back at Milo. "Take care of your sister."

Milo nodded in agreement.

As Mathis, Bianca, and Aveline walked out of the restaurant, they spotted Corbin Jagger waiting by the entrance.

There was no urgency on Corbin's face; instead, he wore a cynical smirk, a slim cigarette dangling lazily from his lips.

Bianca seriously doubted that he had any real feelings for Ingrid.

Mathis's expression instantly darkened the moment he saw him. "Corbin, who told you to come back?"

Corbin had lost the battle for control of Dawnstar Capital to Mathis, and after Mathis found leverage against him, he was exiled to an overseas branch. Yarden Jagger had suffered the same fate.

Usually, they only returned for the holidays. Mathis absolutely loathed seeing Corbin.

Corbin replied coolly, "I came back for the Developer Conference. I got an invitation."

Mathis shot a suspicious look at Bianca. "Did you give him one?"

Bianca just rolled her eyes in response.

Corbin watched Mathis with immense amusement, as if enjoying a show. "Mathis, cheating on your wife while simultaneously getting her to have your child. When it comes to sheer audacity, you really are unmatched."

Bianca quickly interjected, "We're divorced."
