Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 234 by Ansel Bick
Maxine still felt it was a shame she had missed out on a great guy like Milo, but Walter just laughed at her lack of ambition.
Bianca and the Adlers' housekeeper carried three boxes of fruit upstairs. Walter instantly recognized the produce as coming from the Jagger Orchards; Theodore Jagger had previously sent his people to deliver the exact same kind.
The professor looked confused. "How did you get fruit from the Jagger Orchards?"
Theodore had been retired for years. Given his untouchable status, there was no logical way Bianca could have crossed paths with him.
Not wanting to complicate things, Bianca lied effortlessly. "Dawnstar is one of Stellaride's investors. Mr. Jagger called me in to give a progress report, and he gifted these to me when I was leaving."
Walter bought the excuse and sighed. "Theodore Jagger was brilliant his whole life, yet he somehow ended up with an absolute idiot of a grandson like Mathis. Last time, that fool brought his knockoff girlfriend to parade around my house, and I kicked them both out. Keep your distance from that man. He thinks a little bit of money makes him invincible. His character is rotten, you hear me?"
Bianca smiled. "I know. I don't associate with him."
Every time Bianca visited, the professor would drag her into deep technical discussions. When it came to the limitations of current market patents, Bianca knew the details like the back of her hand.
Walter helped her refine her ideas, and before they knew it, they had been talking until nine o'clock. Aveline let out a series of sleepy yawns.
Walter was still eager to keep going, but Maxine quickly stepped in to stop the two tech maniacs.
"Alright, that's enough. The little one is exhausted. You two can pick up your encrypted nerd-speak another day."
Only then did Walter stop. He looked at Bianca a bit sheepishly and said, "Whenever you aren't working late, come find me. Have a nanny watch your daughter. You absolutely cannot let your career stall again."
Bianca smiled warmly. "Don't worry, I won't."
Aveline was already nodding off in Bianca's arms, and by the time they stepped out of the elevator, the little girl was fast asleep.
Bianca was about to call for a designated driver when Mathis suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
