Cillian had also been keeping an eye on Aeterna's stock. He offered his analysis. "My guess is that Aeterna desperately needs major good news right now to further artificially boost the market. As for what else Mathis might be plotting, I can't quite figure it out."

Bianca recalled Corbin's suggestion to sabotage the partnership.

She did have the technical capability to shift the blame for any system failures onto Aeterna, but she needed to carefully assess the risks to avoid leaving a trail.

She couldn't afford to recklessly drag them down with her. She had to preserve herself so she could take care of Aveline in the future.

She turned to Cillian. "If Mathis is forcing the issue, then just agree to it. But I must be the one to lead this project. Feel free to ask for an outrageous price; Aeterna certainly isn't short on cash."

Cillian, however, was concerned this would worsen her depression. "Dealing with them will give you a heart attack. Let's assign someone else!"

Bianca shook her head. "There's no one in the company better suited for this than me. I really don't care about the two of them anymore. It's been almost two years; I'm not that fragile."

Cillian remained deeply worried, but ironically, Bianca ended up comforting him instead. Her expression was so tranquil that Cillian eventually let it go.

He instructed his assistant to notify the sales department to convene and strategize for the Aeterna negotiations. Although Aeterna seemed to be booming right now, their foundation was inherently unstable.

Cillian took Bianca's advice to heart.

Back in her office, Bianca called Corbin. "Mathis has forced our hand. We have no choice but to start cooperating with Aeterna. When will your agreement be ready?"

Corbin had already confirmed his suspicions, but moving forward with Bianca required extreme caution since he was putting his Dawnstar shares on the line.

"I need to devise a foolproof plan to ensure we take him out in one strike. Mathis cannot be given a chance to counterattack."
