Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 263 by Ansel Bick
Venting was the last thing Bianca wanted to do. Besides, the fewer people who knew about her plans, the better.
She lied, "I still have Aveline, Jax. I won't do anything extreme."
Jax's worry deepened. "What if... I mean, what if Mathis decides to hide Aveline away forever? What will you do then?"
Bianca felt entirely helpless regarding that possibility. A shadow crossed her face. "I'll give it a little more time. If things don't change, I'll have to make other arrangements."
Seeing the deep sorrow on her face, Jax cursed himself for talking too much.
He lightly slapped his own mouth and whispered reassuringly, "Look at my big mouth. Aveline will definitely come back safe and sound."
Bianca hoped so. She didn't dare dwell on it; overthinking would only guarantee another sleepless night.
"I'll make sure to live a good life while I wait for her safe return."
She said this both to reassure Jax and to pump herself up.
She silently vowed to thrive. She would prove to Mathis that even without him, she could still stand strong and live well.
The next day, Mathis went to work at Dawnstar Capital.
Zane had to fight the urge to laugh when he saw his boss's face.
One side of his face was swollen, and his lip was busted. Even though he had a private doctor treat him last night, Bianca's slap had been so forceful that the swelling still hadn't gone down.
Zane guessed Bianca was the culprit, and secretly thought she had done a great job. He deserved to be hit a long time ago.
Zane delivered a report on the negotiations Roland Fleming's team had with Neville Quinn the previous night.
