Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 285 by Ansel Bick
Aveline looked soft and rosy. Having not seen her for a few days, Bianca had been missing those chubby little cheeks desperately.
She tried to shove the bouquet into Mathis's hands so she could hold her daughter.
Mathis refused to take the flowers. 'I'll carry her.'
Seeing the roses in Bianca's hands, Wilma assumed the couple had reconciled and felt genuinely happy for the child.
The little miss finally had both parents doting on her.
Mathis took Aveline from Wilma. Aveline wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. 'Daddy, I missed you.'
Then she leaned over to kiss her mother. Bianca smiled and leaned in.
She kissed Aveline on both cheeks. Mathis pursed his lips; he wanted Bianca to kiss him too.
But she didn't even spare him a glance, her eyes focused solely on Aveline.
Now that her baby was finally back, her gloomy mood cleared up significantly.
Aveline said to him, 'Daddy, hug Mommy.'
Without a second thought, he bent his knees slightly and picked Bianca up with one arm.
He worked out constantly, so his arm strength was exceptional.
Bianca was startled, her eyes widening. 'What are you doing?'
'Listening to our daughter,' Mathis replied.
She told him to put her down, but he refused. 'Don't squirm. Hold on tight, or I might drop her.'
He held Bianca with one arm and even bounced her a little.
'You're getting thinner.'
She couldn't be bothered to respond.
Aveline clapped her little hands happily. 'Yay, Daddy!'
Mathis smirked. 'Daddy will hold you both like this from now on.' He then whispered into Bianca's ear, 'I never put our daughter behind anyone. She's tied for first place in my heart, right alongside you.'
She rolled her eyes, not believing a word of his nonsense.
He really was addicted to acting.
Unable to stand him but too afraid to struggle when he pretended he was about to lose his balance, her heart pounded nervously.
She let him carry both of them—daughter in one arm, mother in the other—into the elevator and down to the underground garage.
Mathis greedily took in her scent; this time, he was never going to let go.
Once they reached the garage, he finally put her down.
She knew why—there were other cars here. He never wanted outsiders to see their intimate relationship.
He was only indulging Aveline's request earlier, terrified that someone would see them and report back to his beloved mistress.
He would protect that relationship at all costs, and her existence was merely an itch he couldn't let go of.
