Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 288 by Ansel Bick
Is there anything that couldn't be explained clearly?
Every bit of suffering he's going through now is exactly what he deserves.
Hailey asked Simon, 'What is that cheating bastard trying to pull now? If you didn't know better, you'd think he was deeply devoted to her.'
Simon got into the driver's seat and buckled his seatbelt. 'Who knows. Just make sure when you look for a boyfriend, you don't pick someone manipulative, or you'll constantly be schemed against without a chance to fight back.
If she hadn't been endlessly tormented by Mathis, she wouldn't have severe depression. Falling for the wrong man costs you your youth at best, and ruins your entire life at worst.'
As someone who had been single her entire life, Hailey scoffed, 'I'm as busy as a dog every day. Where would I find the time to date? Ask me again when my advisor finally lets me breathe!'
Simon started the car and replied, 'She used to be even busier than you. I don't even know how she ended up falling for him.'
Hailey concluded, 'She probably just liked his face and fell for the scumbag's good looks.'
Simon didn't think she was that shallow, but it wasn't his place to pry into her past.
For now, he just needed to support her through her treatment.
...
Milo drove the mother and daughter to the underground garage at Crestmont International. Aveline was already dozing off.
Drooling slightly over the adorable, rosy-cheeked toddler, Milo insisted on carrying her out of the car.
Half-asleep, Aveline didn't resist. She even mistook him for Mathis and mumbled 'Daddy' in her sleep.
Milo was thrilled. That single word went straight to his heart. He turned to Bianca and whispered, 'She called me Daddy. If you could give me a daughter this cute, I'd throw a massive banquet and invite everyone I know to celebrate.'
She swatted him lightly. Ever since they teamed up against Cynthia, they had grown much closer.
'I'm not interested in you right now,' she scolded playfully. 'Stop talking nonsense.'
Milo muttered under his breath, 'It's only a matter of time before I win you over.'
Mathis was standing right behind them, having heard the entire exchange.
Their intimate dynamic ignited a nameless fury in his chest.
He quickly stepped in front of them, blocking their path and startling Milo.
'Do you teleport or something?' Milo complained. 'You're always popping up out of nowhere. Can't you walk normally? You almost made me lose my footing and drop her.'
Mathis's expression was incredibly dark. 'Give me back my daughter.'
