Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 306 by Ansel Bick
The dense mist penetrated his suit, clinging tightly to the fabric. Only a tiny fraction of the mist brushed lightly against the skin of Bianca's jaw.
The scene unfolded so suddenly that the air froze.
The laughter, music, and clinking of glasses across the room came to a screeching halt. Everyone's gaze zeroed in on them.
Mathis, pale as death in the crowd, roared, "Lamont, what are you doing?"
Mathis strode over to Bianca, the corners of his eyes red, and asked, "Are you okay?"
Bianca stood up from Milo's embrace and glared at Mathis. "If your son had sprayed that in Aveline's face just now, the consequences would be unthinkable. How do you plan to handle your son and your girlfriend?"
Luckily, Wilma was standing off to the side holding Aveline and hadn't crouched down.
Mathis took a deep breath, ignoring Bianca's question. His mind raced, no one knowing what he was thinking.
Bianca realized instantly that no matter how monstrous a mistake Lamont and Cynthia made, he would never punish them.
But Marcus was different. After all, it was Milo who got hurt.
The Wilder family rushed over, with Karis frantically checking if her son was injured.
Milo felt a scorching, fiery pain pierce through his clothes instantly, biting into his flesh—sharp and enduring.
Marcus immediately shouted, "Call an ambulance! Call the police!"
Seeing things go south, Lamont tried to run. Milo swiftly grabbed him, glaring fiercely as he demanded, "What did you spray?"
The spray in Lamont's hand was a high-concentration pepper spray provided by Rosalind.
It was a custom-made self-defense spray Rosalind always carried.
She knew clearly that close-range, sustained spraying to the face would burn the skin, damage the corneas, and cause permanent scarring.
She had intended to ruin Bianca's face.
Lamont had been spoiled rotten by Cynthia. When Cynthia provoked him earlier, she told him that if he ruined Bianca's face, the bad woman wouldn't be able to use his annoying sister to steal daddy anymore.
Lamont agreed without a second thought. He hated Bianca and Aveline.
Lamont kept his lips sealed, refusing to speak. Marcus directly ordered the people around him, "Hand Cynthia and her son over to the police. A four-year-old child can't get ahold of something this dangerous. But an adult can."
As Cynthia was restrained, she yelled, "Mathis, Lamont was just playing around!"
Mathis chimed in, "Mr. Wilder, let's look at Milo's injuries before deciding. My girlfriend has always been kind, and my son couldn't possibly get something dangerous."
Held in Milo's arms, Bianca felt a bone-deep chill.
