Summary for Chapter 311: The Transactional Marriage That Imploded

Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 311 by Ansel Bick

Mathis Jagger stayed completely silent, knowing that whatever he said right now would just sound hollow. She wouldn't believe him anyway.

He could only rely on his actions to prove that he had never once betrayed her.

He wasn't the kind of man to sleep around casually. He had written the script for Cynthia Quinn a long time ago, but there had been unexpected deviations during the execution, which dragged the whole thing out.

Bianca Baldwin let out a bitter, hollow laugh. "If it hadn't been for Milo Wilder, I'd probably be dead right now.

You'd probably squeeze out a few tears over my grave, then turn around and play the perfect husband with Cynthia."

Mathis watched her pink lips moving, completely unable to control the violent thumping in his chest.

He pulled her in and crashed his lips down on hers, his arms locking tightly around her slender waist. The faint, sweet scent of Bianca mixed with the harsh smell of hospital antiseptic, a stark reminder that just moments ago, she had been exchanging vows with another man.

He kissed her harder, his grip tightening as if he wanted to crush her into his very bones.

No matter how fiercely she struggled, he wasn't going to let go this time.

Mathis tried to part her teeth, desperate to deepen the connection between them.

Bianca parted her lips slightly, then mercilessly bit down on his tongue. Mathis's pupils dilated from the sharp spike of pain.

It wasn't until the metallic tang of blood flooded their mouths that she finally released him.

Mathis was in too much pain to speak for a moment. Taking advantage of his shock, Bianca wrenched herself free and bolted for the door, but he lunged forward, sweeping her up into his arms.

She opened her mouth to scream. She remembered there was an adjacent apartment next door, even though she had never seen the neighbor.

"Don't waste your breath," Mathis said. "I own the unit next door. Why else do you think the building security always let me straight up to your floor?"

Bianca kicked and thrashed against his chest. His core strength and arm muscles were terrifyingly solid; no matter how wildly she fought, he carried her with effortless stability.

Desperate to break free, Bianca leaned in and sank her teeth right into his chest. Coincidentally, she bit down on the exact spot where she had stabbed him years ago. Mathis frowned in pain, yet his grip didn't loosen an inch.

She bit him until she drew blood. Mathis merely let out a low grunt, letting her do as she pleased.

He didn't believe she could actually tear a chunk of flesh from him.

Blood seeped into his cream-colored shirt, blooming outward like a shattered, fragmented flower.

Just like their fragile, broken marriage.

Bianca finally let go, cursing under her breath, "You're insane."

Mathis wasn't angry or annoyed. Instead, an eerie, almost provocative smile touched his lips.

He smirked. "You're the one who drove me insane."

Exhausted, her body completely drained, she asked, "Where exactly are you taking me?"
