Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 339 by Ansel Bick
She glared ice-cold daggers at Mathis. "Tell your mother to give me my daughter back."
Seeing her mother, Aveline immediately reached out her little arms, a sweet smile lighting up her soft, chubby cheeks, completely oblivious to the vicious war raging between the adults.
Evita instantly blocked the reunion, escalating her threats. "Bianca, if you don't write that letter of forgiveness, I'll never let you see Aveline again.
If you're determined to ruin my daughter's life, I will absolutely ruin yours."
Mathis stepped forward without a word and forcefully ripped Aveline from his mother's arms.
His voice was absolute ice. "Mom, this isn't up for debate."
He gently handed Aveline over to Bianca. Bianca didn't spare a single word for the Jaggers; she had zero intention of getting dragged into their psychotic family drama.
She simply took Aveline and walked back into her house, slamming the door shut.
Evita and Hadrian continued to scream at Mathis in the hallway. She threatened that if he didn't save Rosalind, she would kill herself right in front of him.
Mathis remained completely unbothered, trying to shut them down and send them away with a few clipped words.
Hadrian and Evita cursed him for being a cold-blooded traitor, screaming that he was abandoning his own flesh and blood over some woman.
Bianca heard every word from behind the door. She frowned deeply. The Jagger family was so fundamentally arrogant and morally bankrupt.
Rosalind had committed a purely evil act, yet they were perfectly fine completely ignoring the severity of it without an ounce of guilt.
Terrified that Aveline would be corrupted by their toxic behavior, she texted Mathis: [Your parents are completely toxic. Do not let Aveline go over there anymore. They'll ruin her.]
Mathis didn't reply. Bianca began seriously considering transferring to Austin City just to put as much distance between herself and the Jaggers as possible.
She called Cillian to discuss the logistics, but he broke down the reality of the situation. Transferring right now just wasn't feasible—there were no executive openings, and she certainly couldn't go there just to do grunt work.
"I know you're desperate to get out of Kingsbridge City and away from Mathis," Cillian said sympathetically, "but Stellaride Computing really needs you right now. My hands are tied. Just do this as a favor to me."
"I understand, Cillian," Bianca replied softly. "I'll figure out a way to deal with it here."
She was a shareholder in Stellaride, and the company was Cillian's life's work. She wasn't going to just abandon ship.
She rubbed her temples and carried Aveline into the nursery. Let the Jaggers scream all they wanted; there was no way in hell she was letting Rosalind off the hook.
Unless Mathis found another disgusting way to blackmail her, she held Aveline tightly against her chest. Her daughter was her only weakness now.
Maggie had been pressing her ear against the front door the entire time. After about half an hour of chaotic screaming, the noise finally died down, and she reported that Hadrian and Evita had stormed off, cursing loudly.
"Your ex-husband's parents really treat him like trash. The things they were calling him... it was vicious."
The vile insults from his parents had cut Mathis deep. As indestructible as he normally was, attacks from the family he cared about still drew blood.
Especially Evita, the mother he had spent his life protecting. For Rosalind's sake, she had hurled the most gut-wrenching insults at him.
She called him pathetic and brainwashed by lust, screaming that he could have literally any woman in the world, yet he chose to crawl after Bianca like a pathetic dog.
