Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 354 by Ansel Bick
"I heard she also hooked up with the young heir of Fiyato. She probably can't survive without a man."
Facing a barrage of baseless accusations, Bianca found these people utterly laughable. They had just taken Dawnstar's money, yet here they were, throwing their weight around in Dawnstar's lobby.
She swept her gaze over the chattering crowd, her eyes filled with nothing but pure contempt.
Clicking her tongue, she mocked, "I seriously worry for the future of your team. In the tech industry, we don't do R&D with our mouths. Since you have no actual skills, you resort to barking like dogs just to feel important.
"If I had as much free time as you do, I'd lock myself in a lab for a few days so I wouldn't release a product that makes me look like a joke. Smear me all you want—my patents are internationally recognized. Unlike you all, getting high off your first round of seed money.
"Come back and talk to me if you survive Series C funding.
"Oh, right. Do you even have a functional product yet?"
Bianca's words slammed directly into Maia's insecurities. Her team's product was still highly flawed, while Stellaride, powered by Bianca's patents, had already conquered half the market.
Sneering in defiance, Maia shot back, "If you actually created those patents yourself, I'll admit defeat. But if you didn't, you're going to crash and burn just like Cynthia did."
Bianca rolled her eyes. "Show me a patent on my level first, then we can talk. Until then, save your breath. A bunch of flies buzzing around—people might mistake your company for a public restroom. What an embarrassment."
Without giving them another glance, she turned on her heel and left.
Stepping out the door, she mentally cursed Mathis in true Xanthe fashion: That absolute bastard. Getting me yelled at by a bunch of random lunatics. He even invested in a company run by these idiots and people still claim he has a 'sharp eye'? Sharp my ass.
Maia clenched her fists, swearing silently: Just wait, Bianca. One day I'll show you who's on top. You might be a genius, but you're just a techie. I'm a founder.
Bianca, of course, had no idea that a simple trip to sign contracts had made her public enemy number one to a group of strangers.
She headed back to Stellaride and spent the afternoon in meetings at the executive office.
During the meeting, Cillian announced that the Northwood Green Data Industrial Park wanted their help building a new computing center.
"Their Phase One budget is two billion," Cillian explained. "If we land this project, we're looking at a fifteen percent profit margin during construction, and maintenance contracts worth no less than fifty million a year."
Hearing the massive numbers, everyone in the room practically saw the bonuses flying into their bank accounts.
Stellaride was famous in the industry for its incredible benefits and massive project bonuses.
Generous compensation meant employees treated the company's business as their own, driving up revenue and creating a perfect cycle of success.
The room eagerly urged, "Mr. Calder, give us our assignments!"
Cillian laid out the negotiation strategies for the marketing department. Timothy Wyndham seemed even more invested in the details than Cillian himself.
