Bianca glared at him and didn't reply.

Once at the boutique, she chose a dress called Starlight Ice.

The tailored mermaid silhouette traced her exquisite curves, while the gradient ice-blue skirt cascaded like a galaxy, covered entirely in hand-embroidered diamonds that sparkled with every step she took.

As she walked in her heels, it was as if she were walking right on Mathis's heart, looking so breathtaking it made his chest ache.

He really had been an idiot. Letting such a perfect woman go out to work—no wonder Milo had come sniffing around immediately.

He would deal with that man personally.

Even if Bianca didn't want him, she wasn't allowed to have any other man either.

Aveline clapped her little hands in delight. "Mommy looks so pretty! Daddy, hurry up and tell Mommy how pretty she is."

Mathis had always loved buying her gorgeous dresses and jewelry in the past, but she hadn't liked those things.

When she left him, she hadn't taken a single piece. Remembering this made him unhappy all over again.

But this wasn't the time to be displeased.

He collected his thoughts and said, "Yes, absolutely beautiful."

This face that haunted his dreams was finally standing beside him again tonight.

Mathis changed into a dark, matte three-piece suit paired with a crisp white dress shirt.

The subtly patterned tie was one Bianca had asked her assistant to buy him for his birthday years ago. She had thought he threw it away.

Catching the fleeting shock in her eyes, he offered a small smile. "I'm not like you. I cherish everything you've ever given me. I've always been deeply loyal. I've only ever had you."

Bianca felt a bit helpless at his spontaneous confessions.

She said, "You can throw it away. You weren't even happy when you received it back then."

Looking deeply into her eyes, Mathis said, "What I wasn't happy about was your attitude toward me, not the gift itself."

"Whatever."

The cufflinks on his shirt were ones she had given him, and the collar pin was a sapphire that matched them perfectly.

With one hand in his pocket, he stood tall, his pale skin contrasting beautifully with his striking, elegant features.

He exuded the cool, handsome aura of an elite gentleman.

There was no denying the man was devastatingly attractive.

He stood behind Bianca, visible in the mirror.

She used to compliment him, quoting poetry about his unmatched grace and elegance.

But she would never use such beautiful words to describe him again.

Even the makeup artist working on Bianca couldn't help but steal glances at him, whispering, "Your husband is so handsome."

Bianca's expression remained indifferent. She knew Mathis was preening like a peacock for her benefit, but whatever he did now had little to do with her.
