Professor Adler said, "I took a look at the underlying logic of this project; the design concepts are quite good. I just wanted to come and meet the developers. I heard your company also participated in the development, so how come your names aren't on the promotional brochure?"

Cillian thought to himself, *We're doomed, our professor actually found out.*

He lied, "The situation is a bit complicated. It's a trade secret, so I can't disclose it to you just yet, Professor."

Hearing that it was a trade secret, Professor Adler didn't press the issue and said, "Oh, then let me see what tricks the developers have up their sleeves. By the way, aren't they using Bianca's patents? Why don't I see her around?"

Cillian said, "Bianca has other work arrangements."

Professor Adler spoke as he walked inside, "Since Bianca has chosen to go down the commercial path, you need to help her more as a senior. It's not easy for her to be on her own."

Cillian naturally agreed, "Of course, please rest assured, Professor, I will take good care of Bianca."

Professor Adler didn't know that Bianca and Mathis were husband and wife.

His seat was right next to Mathis's.

The star of the celebratory banquet, Cynthia, made her entrance arm-in-arm with Mathis. She wore a gorgeous haute couture gown and adorned herself with expensive, dazzling jewelry.

Xanthe quietly complained to Cillian, "They're making it look like an engagement party. They really love showing off."

Cillian said, "She's just here to gild the lily anyway. She has nothing on the inside, so she can only work on her outward appearance."

Xanthe scoffed, "I really envy how she manages to keep her skin so thick."

Cillian: "If she cared about her dignity, she wouldn't have interfered in someone else's marriage."

Mathis wore a caramel brown double-breasted suit, carrying the mature and elegant aura of a wealthy gentleman. The texture looked premium and refined.

On the other hand, quite a few figures from the investment world had come. After hearing Professor Adler's words, they all felt that Cynthia was a pretty good poster child.

They were very confident about the upcoming new company.

A thunderous round of applause erupted in the hall, and Cynthia magically transformed into a developer recognized even by Professor Adler.

Naturally, the people arranged by Mathis posted this online for promotion, and Cynthia's social media accounts gained more followers. The praise in the comments section was overwhelmingly flattering, making Cynthia seem as if she were on par with John von Neumann.

Her red lips leaned close to Mathis's ear, and she said to him with excitement and gratitude, "Mathis, thank you for everything you've done for me."

Mathis looked at her affectionately: "It's all what I should do."

Cynthia looked around but didn't see Bianca anywhere, feeling secretly smug.
