Summary for Chapter 64: The Transactional Marriage That Imploded

Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 64 by Ansel Bick

She had worked overtime for weeks, yet with just one word from Mathis, her own name was placed on the project. A woman who isn't valued truly is pathetic.

She was nowhere to be seen tonight. She probably didn't have the face to show up! Even if she did, she would only embarrass herself. She didn't even have a decent gown.

Neville Quinn accepted the compliments from all sides, understanding even more deeply Mathis's dedication to his daughter.

He began to understand why Mathis had delayed the divorce for so long. Although that Bianca girl didn't know how to please men, her development skills were very strong; otherwise, she wouldn't be holding patents at such a young age.

By keeping her tied down with their marriage, Mathis was using her abilities to pave the way for his daughter.

As for what kind of agreement Mathis and Bianca had reached, Neville couldn't care less.

After a few rounds of drinks, Bianca still hadn't appeared. Mathis stepped out to give her a call.

"Where are you? Are you not even coming to the celebratory banquet just because you're not getting credit? Are you afraid of seeing me?"

Mathis's voice was as emotionless as ever.

On the other end of the line, Bianca rolled her eyes, cursing silently: *Why would I show up just to watch you two flaunt your affection? Psycho.*

To avoid any further complications, she had changed her flight and left the night before.

By this time, she was already in her apartment in Austin City, lying comfortably on the couch and happily eating mangoes and wax apples.

Bianca swallowed her mango and replied coldly, "I had a sudden business trip. Mr. Jagger, you've paid the hush money, and I know how to behave."

Mathis said, "Good that you know how to behave. Don't even think about provoking Cynthia again."

"Oh." Without another word, Bianca hung up. She didn't plan on scrolling through short videos tonight.

Knowing the nature of those two, the trending topics would absolutely be overwhelming.

It was best to avoid looking at things that would just annoy her, as it wouldn't be good for the baby's development.

She felt Mathis was truly sick in the head. He had added her on social media just to show her this. His brain definitely needed checking.

Unfortunately, Simon had said he was fully recovered.

Simon already knew she had gone to Austin City. "I'll arrange a highly private clinic for your prenatal checkups. They won't be able to trace your personal information."

Bianca placed her hand on her lower abdomen. "Thank you, Dr.... Simon."

The next day, Mathis took Cynthia to visit Professor Adler.

Professor Adler was a top-tier figure in computer science at Kingsbridge University, a distinguished scholar, chief scientist of major national projects, and director of the main laboratory.

His research directions mainly focused on high-end computing architecture, underlying artificial intelligence algorithms, and the industrial implementation of cutting-edge technologies.

If Cynthia wanted to add another halo to herself, she needed the endorsement of being Professor Adler's student.
