Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 69 by Ansel Bick
Mathis's crisp voice rang out, "We have a child together."
He shot Quincy a look, and Lamont was immediately brought over.
The entire audience was in uproar. The host gathered her thoughts and continued to praise their great romance.
The juicy gossip on the sidelines is always more entertaining than the main event. Progenix Tech's servers were nearly crashing from the influx of viewers. Xanthe watched the live stream while cursing the scumbag and the homewrecker for buying traffic.
Cillian had just finished his work and heard Xanthe swearing. He asked with interest, "How do you know they're not naturally drawing the netizens' attention?"
Xanthe scoffed, "Mathis might clean up well, but he's not worth hundreds of thousands of people tuning into a live stream. Who cares about them showing off their romance? It's sickening. Good thing Bianca is too busy to watch, or she'd be throwing up for three days straight."
Cillian's eyes darkened. "Let's hope she didn't see it."
Bianca not only saw it, but she watched it in the large conference room with a bunch of tech geeks. They had all tuned in purely to see Progenix's cutting-edge technology, only to be subjected to this spectacle.
If Bianca wasn't the woman on Mathis's marriage license, she might have been moved by their great romance too.
Unfortunately, she knew that beneath their ocean-deep love lay the most naked humiliation of her marriage. Bianca simply couldn't buy into it.
Luckily, the bunch of tech geeks were busy enjoying the drama and didn't notice Bianca's pale face.
Elias Donovan, the R&D Director of the Southern Division, immediately said, "This launch is absolutely unprofessional. Why don't we all look for bugs and post them in the technical exchange group later?"
With him saying that, Bianca couldn't find a reason not to watch.
On camera, Mathis was recounting their love story in detail.
The therapist looked at Bianca's chart. She had seen a lot in her line of work, but a pregnant wife having to watch her husband parade around with his mistress was truly enough to make anyone snap.
The therapist took several deep breaths to compose herself.
"You're experiencing a stress response. The solution is out of sight, out of mind. Stay away from them."
Bianca said, "Okay! I won't look at them anymore."
The therapist chatted with Bianca for an hour and noticed she was very guarded, entirely unwilling to talk about many things.
For Bianca, marrying a man for money was too shameful to speak of. What was even more tragic was that in this unequal marriage, she had actually fallen in love with him.
The therapist said, "A miserable marriage is ultimately in the past. Face it, tear it apart, and you'll be able to move forward without the baggage."
