Summary for Chapter 82: The Transactional Marriage That Imploded

Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 82 by Ansel Bick

Bianca said firmly, "Going through one marriage has already stripped a layer of skin off me. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't survive. There is more to life than marriage, and there are other things I need much more right now."

Like her career. This time, if Cillian Calder hadn't strongly backed her up and placated the board of directors, her career would have been ruined by Mathis all over again.

She didn't know what his ultimate goal was, but she knew she had to get as far away from this man as possible. She wanted absolutely nothing to do with him for the rest of her life.

From now on, she would raise her child on her own.

Hector asked with difficulty, "Then what about Jax?"

Bianca frowned. "He will always be my brother. Mr. Goodwin, please help me."

Hector sighed. "Alright! If I don't draft it for you, I know you'll just go find someone else who will."

Dealing with smart people was always easier.

Once inside Fiyato's conference room, their company's core technical team was already present. Bianca connected her presentation and began explaining the technical specifics.

Whenever they hit a complex bottleneck, the Fiyato team would ask questions, and Bianca answered them one by one.

Milo sat off to the side, nodding off and yawning repeatedly, until Marcus Wilder kicked him under the table.

Milo jolted awake, his head nearly slamming into the desk. Once he regained his composure, Marcus pointed toward Bianca at the front of the room. Milo tried to focus and listen, but within minutes, he was dozing off again.

Marcus just shook his head.

Watching the father-son dynamic, Mia had to try her hardest to hold back a laugh.

Bianca presented for a solid hour, and Marcus was quite satisfied. Next came the partnership negotiations. Since Bianca wasn't well-versed in sales, Mia took over.

These large-scale projects moved at a glacial pace, so no final conclusions were reached that day. Both sides had their own profit margins to protect and neither was willing to concede too early.

By the time they wrapped up for the day, both parties agreed to pause and resume negotiations tomorrow.

Bianca turned her phone back on, having kept it on silent earlier.

Hector had sent her the draft of the agreement. Bianca began pondering how she should bring it up with Mathis.

As she was thinking, she saw a message Mathis had sent an hour ago: [Are you done with work yet?]

Mia continued gossiping about Bianca's marriage. "Is the guy you married rich?"

Bianca replied, "The kind where I had to sign an NDA."

Mia figured the guy's family background must be incredibly prominent, otherwise they wouldn't have been able to marry her.

"Then your divorce is definitely going to be an uphill battle!"

Bianca said, "No matter how hard it is, I have to try. At most, I just have to wait two years!"

Mia offered some advice. "You could always provoke his mistress into pressuring him for marriage. Women trying to climb the social ladder will do absolutely anything."

Deep down, Bianca didn't want Cynthia to get her way. She hardly dared to imagine Cynthia actually marrying Mathis.

The Quinn family was already at the height of their power; if they secured this marriage, they would become truly unstoppable.

Bianca said bitterly, "That mistress is infuriating. I really don't want to join forces with her in any capacity."
