Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 89 by Ansel Bick
It was Mathis. He was wearing an embroidered dress shirt, his hair meticulously styled. Under the dim lights, the sharp contours of his perfect face were even more pronounced.
Bianca instinctively pulled away from him, her voice trembling slightly. "Why are you here?"
She had only escaped him for a month, and they were face-to-face again.
He was like an invisible net, constantly suffocating her.
Mathis wore a mocking smirk. "What, afraid I'd catch you flirting with another man?"
Bianca let out a cold laugh. "Mathis, do you hear yourself? Didn't you send Milo my way just to get rid of me? Even if something did happen between us, wouldn't that be exactly what you wanted?"
Every time she remembered how Mathis had ruthlessly tried to sabotage her career, she wanted to slap him across the face.
Mathis reached out to grab her, but Bianca quickly stepped back to dodge him, her disgust evident.
He gritted his teeth. "You actually want something to happen with him?"
The pent-up resentment in Bianca's chest finally exploded. "So you can do whatever you want, but I can't even have a life? Your public affair with your woman is practically famous online, and I get front-row seats to the soap opera every day. Why can't I find another man?
Besides, he has much more class than you do. Even his family is better than the Jaggers..."
Mathis's face darkened like pitch. He growled, "Enough. Shut up." He grabbed Bianca by the arm, trying to drag her away. "Come back with me."
Bianca struggled fiercely to shake off his grip. "In your dreams." But his grip was like iron, squeezing her arm until it throbbed with pain.
Bianca's chest heaved with fury. "Why are you still harassing me? Isn't playing happy couples with your mistress enough for you? Even if you drag me back, I'll just find a way to leave again. It's pointless."
Mathis refused to listen, continuing to yank her toward the exit as she fought him with everything she had.
Milo, who had just left, suddenly returned. Seeing the scene unfold, he instantly connected the dots.
He then turned to Mathis. "Can you act like a man? If you don't love her, let her go. If you do, treat her right. You're forcing her into a corner where she's willing to sign a no-remarriage agreement just to escape you. What kind of husband does that?"
Ignoring Milo entirely, Mathis stared coldly at Bianca. "Are you coming back with me or not?"
Bianca answered decisively, "No."
Mathis enunciated every word, "Don't regret this!"
Bianca lifted her chin and replied with absolute resolve, "The biggest regret of my life was marrying you."
Mathis's footsteps faltered for a second. Then, he turned and walked away.
Bianca looked at Milo. "Why did you come back?"
Milo glanced at her. "I wanted to come back and tell you that even if you're getting a divorce, I don't mind. Thank God I did, or Mathis would have dragged you away by force. I'll get you a few bodyguards so he can't pull this crap again."
