The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 153

“Fine, if she wants to come, she can come.”

Rylan agreed swiftly.

And so, Juno followed Rylan to a nightclub.

Rylan stopped outside the entrance. He was dressed like a peacock today, dripping with flashy arrogance. He ran a hand through his styled hair and looked at her with a mix of disdain and forced patience. “I heard you grew up in the countryside. Have you ever even been to a place like this?”

Juno gave him that familiar look—the one that clearly said she thought he was an idiot.

Rylan clicked his tongue, looking her up and down. She was dressed so modestly he was almost embarrassed to bring her inside.

It would be a total humiliation.

He couldn’t afford to lose face.

But they were already at the door.

Juno watched him hesitate, completely unsure of what was going through his slow-moving brain. Mumbling and dragging his feet.

Hands in her pockets, she shot him a sidelong glance. “If you’re not going in, I am.”

She took long, confident strides toward the door. The bouncer immediately moved to block her, but Juno flashed a dark matte-gold card between her fingers right in front of his eyes. Just like that, she strolled inside without a hitch.

Rylan hurriedly chased after her.

“What did you just show security?”

“None of your business.”

Rylan huffed. “What’s with the attitude? Don’t forget who brought you here.”

As Juno headed upstairs, Rylan stayed glued to her side, complaining endlessly and trying to lecture her on how the world worked.

She didn’t break her stride, eventually stopping in front of private room 3587.

Rylan’s voice abruptly cut off. He stared at her in utter shock.

“Aren’t we going in?” she asked.

Rylan stammered for a good few seconds. “How... how did you know I was coming to this room?”

Juno looked at him like he was missing half his brain. He was a decent guy, just completely dense. Even Babur was smarter than him.

Babur, who wasn't even there: *I feel attacked.*

Since they were already at the door, Rylan didn't waste time on trivial questions. He pushed the door open.

The air inside was thick and stale. Many people were smoking, and the stench of nicotine rolled out into the hallway.

Through the haze, a few young men in expensive clothes could be seen lounging on the sofas, each with a young woman tucked into their arms.

Rylan leaned in and whispered, “This was a mistake. Just find an excuse to leave in a bit.”

No matter how annoyed he was, he was still her brother.

The moment Juno walked in, the eyes of every man in the room lit up. She was stunning.

Suddenly, the women in their arms seemed utterly unappealing—just cheap knockoffs.

How could any of them compare to Juno?

“Get out, all of you! Out!” One of the men shoved the woman clinging to him aside.

The woman dropped to her knees, wrapping her delicate arms around his leg. “Mr. Grayson, you hurt me~ Kiss it better~”

Rylan shuddered in disgust, instinctively glancing over at Juno.

He realized she was much more composed than he had anticipated.

Her expression was completely placid; she wasn’t scared at all.

A thought briefly crossed his mind—if Rhiannon had been brought here today, she probably would have been screaming her head off by now.

The man known as Mr. Grayson didn’t care about the woman at his feet. Entirely uninterested, he roared toward the door, “What are you staring at?! Get them out of here!!”
