The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 176

On the day of the exhibition, Juno and Margie sat together on a flight heading to Jindale City.

Although they were sitting right next to each other, an invisible barrier made them feel miles apart.

Margie tried to strike up a conversation several times, but every time she turned her head, she saw Juno texting on her phone. Juno wasn't paying her any attention and clearly had no desire to talk, so Margie quietly turned back to stare out the window.

Half an hour later, the plane landed smoothly. The moment they stepped off, two rows of people were waiting for them on the tarmac.

They were all in formal suits, standing with their hands behind their backs.

A man stood at the very front.

He looked exceptionally sharp.

Seeing them disembark, he rushed forward to introduce himself. "I am the secretary sent by the Talbot family exclusively to receive you both. My surname is Yale, you can call me Mr. Yale."

During the brief introduction, Mr. Yale had already thoroughly assessed the two women.

One was spoiled, temperamental, and unreasonable.

The other was dangerously arrogant and highly intelligent.

Neither was going to be an easy guest.

Margie took off her sunglasses. "Where's the car?"

"Right ahead. Please follow me."

They got in. The vehicle was fully stocked with premium snacks and refreshments.

Mr. Yale personally drove them to the gallery.

Before he left, his employer had explicitly ordered him to treat these VIPs with the utmost caution.

There was absolutely zero room for error.

The car pulled up to the gallery. Melba was personally waiting by the entrance, hurrying over to open the door the moment they arrived.

Rhiannon stood right behind her.

It had been a long time since they'd last seen her. Even under heavy makeup, Rhiannon's gaunt, haggard exhaustion was obvious.

"We thought you wouldn't come."

Margie spoke up first. "We weren't planning to. But Gwendolyn loves art, so here we are."

Walking down the corridor, a new painting hung every few meters. Juno couldn't have been more familiar with them.

They were all painted in her exact style.

She had brought a UV light pen with her. Scanning one of the canvases casually, she noted it lacked her signature watermark.

*Tsk. Fakes, just as I thought.*

None of her actual work had ever made it to Jindale City.

Margie asked, "What's wrong? Are they fake?"

"Yeah," Juno replied.

Thrilled that Juno was finally talking to her, Margie's gloomy mood lifted considerably.

They exchanged those few words, then spent the rest of the time browsing the gallery.

Rhiannon, who loathed the sight of Juno, had secretly hired someone to humiliate her.

"I heard the true Corrington heiress was raised in the countryside. I wonder if she can even understand art~ Pretending to be cultured when you know absolutely nothing is just embarrassing. Don't you agree, Ms. Mercer?"
