The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 202

Listening to them made him wonder if today's martial arts tournament was just child's play.

Was it really that simple?

Juno shook her head. "I'm just watching. I definitely won't do anything reckless."

Unless, of course, someone provoked her.

And who would be foolish enough to do that?

Rhiannon Corrington.

Over in the Talbot family's seating area, a secretary handed Rhiannon a bottle of water. "Have some water, Miss. These matches are a bit dull, but thankfully it's almost over."

Rhiannon paused just as she was about to take a sip. "Almost over?"

The secretary looked confused. "Yes."

Rhiannon gripped the bottle tightly, her eyes subconsciously darting toward Juno in the distance.

If she didn't make Juno suffer a little today, she would never find peace.

"Bring our fighters over."

The secretary didn't understand her intentions but followed the order anyway.

A moment later, several of the Talbot family's top fighters lined up in front of Rhiannon.

These men treated the Talbot family's orders as absolute law, showing the utmost respect.

It was a tradition that had been passed down for years.

Whatever the Talbots commanded, they executed without question.

Rhiannon's gaze swept over their faces before landing on the last man in line. "Stern Stark."

Stern lowered his head humbly. "Miss."

"You were incredible in the first half. Rest up. I expect you to maintain that same momentum in the second half."

Stern was as stoic as a block of wood. He was a simple, loyal man who followed orders blindly. "Thank you for your concern, Miss. I won't let you down."

Rhiannon nodded in satisfaction. "Actually, there is one favor I need to ask of you."

Stern's expression didn't waver. "Just give the word, Miss. There is no need to ask."

"I knew she wouldn't just sit quietly."

Juno's sudden comment left Jeremy completely bewildered.

He looked at her, then over at Rhiannon's section. What just happened? Why would she say that?

Morgan's expression darkened instantly. "I'll handle her."

"No need," Juno declined. "That takes all the fun out of it."

Morgan wanted to argue. Given Juno's current physical state, stepping into that ring was practically a death wish.

But whatever Juno decided, he would obey.

The second half commenced.

Stern was completely unopposed, crushing opponent after opponent with ease. He had a clear path to the end.

For the final match, the victor had the right to select their opponent.

Exactly as Rhiannon had orchestrated, Stern pointed directly at Juno.
