The crowd was packed today. The audience was highly invested in the pride of their respective cities.
A collective gasp rippled through the venue as everyone turned to look at Juno.
She was just a young, fragile-looking girl. Going up there was a guaranteed beatdown.
The spectators immediately started gossiping.
"What kind of joke is this? I get that the Talbots aren't from Kingsland, but we're all from the same country. We don't lose anything if they win. I was actually becoming a fan of Stern, and now he pulls this?"
"This is just petty. Is this some kind of internal feud?"
"I get that Stern is dominating everyone, but there's no reason to pick on a girl."
"Tsk, tsk. I don't get it at all. Juno just came to watch the show, and now she's getting dragged into the ring. She's got the worst luck."
Some pitied her; others cursed the Talbot family.
Juno took a sip of water. She had been eating popcorn all morning and was starting to feel a bit sick of it.
Jeremy's heart dropped. The rule for the final match was absolute: whoever was challenged had to fight.
It didn't matter if they were a master martial artist or an ordinary civilian.
The rules stated that if the challenged party won, they took the victor's title. If the challenger won, they kept their streak.
So, if Juno somehow managed to win, everything Stern had achieved today would be invalidated.
Stern knew this rule, yet he still targeted Juno...
The malice was undeniable.
Jeremy stared at Juno as she casually drank her water. "You're not actually going up there, are you?"
"What other choice do I have?"
Juno began wrapping bandages around her hands.
"No..." Jeremy was at a total loss for words. He looked at the massive Stern, then back at the petite Juno. He held his breath for a long moment before finally blurting out, "You're not even the size of his pinky finger! You're really going to fight him?"
Juno didn't stop wrapping her hands, completely brushing off Jeremy's panic. "He practically begged me. It would be rude not to accept."
Jeremy tried to stop her again. "Your grandmother Matilda adores you! If she finds out I let you get into the ring today and you end up hurt, she will literally break my legs."
Stern was already waiting for her.
She stepped up, standing in direct opposition to him.
The referee repeated the rules. "If Juno wins, Stern's previous records are voided. If Stern wins, the championship goes to the Talbot family. Do either of you have any objections?"
"No," they answered in unison.
The crowd whispered among themselves. "No matter how you look at it, Juno is tiny. And look at the size of Stern! He's built like a tank. How is this fair?"
"Stern just ruined any respect I had for him. What a jerk. He'll do anything just to get an easy win."
"But think about it... What if Juno actually wins? Then the championship goes to the Jagger family, right?"
The moment those words were spoken, a dead silence fell over the surrounding crowd.
Everyone looked at the speaker like they had lost their mind.
"Use your brain. Is that even physically possible?"
