The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 231

The crowd jeered, their rhythmic taunts carefully orchestrated by Belinda Russell’s lackeys.

The more refined guests frowned at the spectacle.

This was supposed to be high society?

They were acting like children!

And yet, the mockery didn't stop.

"Look at her. She's still frozen in denial. She probably thinks standing there will magically open the doors."

"If the Yates family heir couldn't even get in, what makes her think she has a chance?"

"She needs to move. Lucia Corbett is waiting behind her, and everyone in her entourage is actual royalty.

Wasting time is one thing, but if she pisses off Ms. Corbett, there'll be hell to pay."

Lucia's explosive temper was notoriously similar to how Juno Mercer used to be.

The Russell and Yates families eagerly waited for the show to begin.

To everyone's shock, Mathea suddenly waved her hand.

The grand doors swung open.

And if that wasn't enough...

Mathea bowed deeply to Juno, her raspy voice filled with absolute devotion. "Welcome back, my lady."

The tarot cards hadn't lied. Juno was alive.

Juno gave a slight nod and walked inside.

Chuck Yates followed right behind her, receiving the exact same level of respect from Mathea.

Belinda's heart skipped a beat as she watched. It felt impossible.

How could this be happening?!

What gave Juno the right?!

She was just a daughter from the unremarkable Corrington family!

Sure, she was good in a fight, but aside from that, there was nothing special about her. Why was she allowed inside?

Before Belinda could even signal her people to start another wave of whispers, Rhiannon Corrington snapped, "Why?!"

She had initially wanted to scream 'What gives her the right?!' but remembering the elite company around her, she opted for a slightly more cultured question.

Seriously, what gave that little bitch the right to walk in there?

Everyone was preparing to leave, except for Belinda, who still refused to accept reality.

How on earth did Juno get in?!

Realizing that no amount of complaining would change things, the crowd began to head back.

Just as they turned, a young man stepped out and whispered something to Mathea. She nodded, and the man bowed respectfully.

He took two steps forward, his voice clear and resonant, carrying effortlessly to the crowd.

"You have all traveled a long way. My boss has decided to make an exception. Please, stay for a meal before you leave."

With that, the young man turned and went back inside.

Mathea had vanished into thin air.

The Pinnacle Restaurant, an immovable fortress for over a decade, was actually bending its own rules?

While the crowd stood stunned, Belinda's sycophants immediately went to work.

"Belinda, this is incredible! The Pinnacle Restaurant actually broke its rules for you!"

"Yeah! We only get to eat here today because of you!"
