The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 232

Belinda was utterly confused, but who would turn down free credit?

She smiled gracefully and didn't bother to correct them.

The staff guided the crowd to their seats.

The interior of the restaurant was breathtaking. Looking up, the ceiling seemed to stretch into infinity, and the decor was a stunning blend of antique elegance.

Gentle, classical string music played at the perfect volume.

Every single artifact in the room was a priceless treasure that couldn't be bought with money outside these walls.

Inside the Pinnacle Restaurant, the hierarchy was absolute.

The first group to enter was seated on the second floor, while the crowd who had only gotten in because Juno made an exception was seated on the first floor.

The second floor was leagues above the first in terms of luxury and exclusivity.

Glancing up, it was clear that the upper level was occupied entirely by members of the Obsidian Court.

It looked like a private family dinner, with Chuck being the only outsider present.

Juno sat quietly, listening to the commotion downstairs.

The people who had just been let in were already showing their "gratitude."

"Belinda, we really owe you one for getting us in. I'd like to propose a toast."

"The Russell family truly is on another level!"

Eventually, someone couldn't stomach the blatant brown-nosing anymore.

"Are you really going to take credit for every single thing that happens?"

One of Belinda's lackeys immediately stood up. "Watch your mouth! Don't forget who got you in here! You're biting the hand that feeds you, you know that?!"

The dissenter kept their cool. "I don't want to argue about this. However, Ms. Russell wasn't even allowed inside originally. If she had been, and the owner let us in out of respect for her, that logic would hold up.

But as it stands? Everyone saw what happened, and yet you're blindly showering her with praise.

If the owner hears this and it wasn't actually because of her, do you think they'll be happy?"

Juno listened from above, impressed by the person's rational thinking.

Belinda's friend was fuming. What was there to argue about? They were inside, weren't they?

When LORD had given the order to let them in, he should have fought back harder.

Look at the absolute trash that had just walked through their doors.

Stealing credit.

Acting entitled.

It was sickening just looking at them.

The waiter's blunt response thoroughly dragged Belinda's pride through the mud.

The loud crowd abruptly fell silent.

This kid didn't pull any punches.

Someone still couldn't believe it and pressed, "Seriously? It wasn't her?"

The waiter was exasperated. Why wasn't anyone listening?

"My boss made the call. When did it ever have anything to do with some Belinda Russell?"
