The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 236

Belinda patted her shoulder grimly. "You'd better pray she actually doesn't."

If Rhiannon wasn't useful for exposing Juno's weaknesses, Belinda wouldn't have bothered associating with someone of her status.

This was Rhiannon's only use.

Everyone gathered at the shooting range.

A variety of firearms and gear were already laid out on the tables.

Since they were already there, Juno didn't see the point in dragging it out.

"What's the challenge?"

Belinda glanced at a pile of scattered parts on the table. "Assembly."

Juno raised an eyebrow.

The two of them stepped up to the table. The referee took his position.

Lucia was actually quite interested in seeing what Juno could do.

Standing a short distance away, she narrowed her eyes at the table. "I don't think I've ever seen Juno fire a gun."

By the time Lucia joined the Obsidian Court, Juno was already the undisputed leader.

She always had her subordinates handle the dirty work; she never had to lift a finger herself.

When it came to this topic, Morgan, who had been by Juno's side the longest, was the authority. "When it comes to marksmanship and assassination, you need to understand the ranking system."

Lucia glanced at him. "Which is?"

"Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Grandmaster..."

Morgan paused.

Lucia didn't look away, waiting for the rest.

Morgan slowly delivered the final rank. "...Juno."

Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Grandmaster, and then Juno.

Lucia couldn't help but take a slow, deep breath.

Was there anything the girl couldn't do?

Didn't she get tired of learning all these skills?

Impressed, Lucia admitted, "She really is something. I haven't found a single thing she's bad at yet."

Morgan spoke up. "Actually, no. She can't do ballet."

When Juno tried ballet... it was a disaster.

While they were talking, the match had already begun.

Juno's hands moved at a speed that left Belinda in the dust, drawing gasps from the crowd.

By the time Belinda was loading her magazine, Juno was already pressing the barrel of her fully assembled gun against Belinda's temple.

The cold steel radiated a heavy, murderous intent.

Juno's face drained of color.

They couldn't wait any longer. The Obsidian Court had spent the last two days turning the city upside down and hadn't found a single trace of the antidote.

Holding the unconscious Chuck in her arms, she realized she only had one option left...

...

Inside a dimly lit room.

Juno couldn't see the old man's face, only his silhouette standing behind a heavy curtain.

"You came for the antidote?"

Juno stood perfectly straight, her eyes devoid of emotion. "Yes."

"You're a businesswoman, girl. A business values profit. You know that if you want something, you have to offer something in return."

"What do you want?"

Earle Yates ignored her question, his raspy voice echoing in the dark room. "Your people have been tearing through my estate for days. The fact that you're standing here means you only have one choice left."

Juno replied coldly, "Threats don't work on me, Mr. Yates."

It had been a very long time since anyone had dared to threaten her.

Earle set down his teacup. "And if the leverage is Chuck?"

Juno's eyes sharpened.
