The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 258

Lucia cast a fleeting glance at Rhiannon and remarked casually, "Was Rhiannon not there when LORD threatened to scatter Oste Russell's ashes?"

If she had been, there was no way she wouldn't have figured out Juno's true identity by now.

Morgan, carefully arranging Juno's desk space, found Lucia's presence annoying. "Sit on my side. You're blocking my view."

Lucia: "?"

Before the vertically-challenged assassin could even protest, Morgan hoisted her up by the collar like a stray kitten and deposited her on his other side.

Lucia possessed absolutely zero dignity when surrounded by Juno's inner circle.

She was beyond speechless.

Feeling the burning stares of the crowd drilling into the back of her head, she snapped her neck around and glared. "What the hell are you looking at?"

The onlookers instantly averted their eyes in terror.

Lucia muttered under her breath.

"What are you staring at? Never seen a short person before?"

Once the Corringtons settled into their seats, the executives surrounding them practically climbed over each other to kiss up.

"Mr. Corrington!! I am so, so sorry! Please forgive my earlier attitude!"

Harrison looked completely lost. He gave the man a puzzled look.

"I'm so sorry! When you were introducing your daughter, I thought you were just asking me to look out for her in the future!"

Harrison: *Well, yeah, that was exactly what I meant.*

The man's voice trembled with frantic excitement. "I only just realized you were actually trying to give me an opportunity!"

Harrison: ...

The executive was practically vibrating. "I've been dying to partner with the Obsidian Court, but they wouldn't give me the time of day! Someone at my level could never secure a meeting with LORD! I never realized you were setting up an introduction for me!

Ugh! It's my own stupidity! I didn't grasp your kindness! I never imagined your daughter was this incredibly powerful!! You really kept that hidden! Rest assured, if there is absolutely anything I can do for you in the future, just say the word!"

The surrounding tycoons all swarmed in, parroting the exact same sentiments.

Every single word spoken in the rows behind was a metaphorical slap directly to Titus Talbot's face.

Juno stopped twirling her pen, and Morgan shot Lucia a pointed look.

Lucia stood up, utterly exasperated. "Keep it down!"

The executives in the back instantly shut their mouths and scrambled back to their seats in dead silence.

Lucia flopped back down, her face entirely sour. "I'm really starting to wonder who actually outranks who between us!"

Chuck's dark eyes were devoid of any warmth, completely bottomless as they locked onto Morgan.

Morgan smoothly stood up and vacated his seat.

Chuck sat down directly next to Juno.

Juno still had zero intention of acknowledging him.

With everyone present, the forum officially commenced.

First on the agenda was Rhiannon's piano performance.

The melody flowed smoothly from her fingertips.

Only she knew how much desperate effort she was pouring into the keys.

She had originally intended to use this moment to look down on Juno.

Instead, she was the one on stage, performing like an obedient show pony, while Juno watched her from below.

She had been reduced to a low-level entertainer.

And Juno sat at the absolute apex, silently judging her.
