The crowd exchanged glances, forming an unspoken, unified front.
"What Talbot family? We don't know what you're talking about."
"Yeah, what are you saying?"
"We've worked so hard for so many years..."
*Bang!*
Juno Mercer took a stack of papers from Morgan and slammed them onto the table. The papers scattered, and those sitting close enough saw exactly what they were.
Printed call logs.
Including the contents of their text messages.
And bank transfer records.
The faces of several senior executives drained of color as they all stared at Juno.
They had no idea what channels she'd used to get her hands on this information.
But it definitely wasn't strictly legal!
Juno casually looked at her hand. "It's a good thing I prepared a little something before coming here, otherwise you all might have actually thought I sat down today just to make small talk."
One executive stood up, furiously rebuking her. "This is illegal!"
Juno didn't even flinch. "And leaking my designs isn't?"
The crowd fell silent.
It was just a leaked design, was that really a crime?
Facing the executives' confused expressions, Juno spoke up. "Leaking company secrets is absolutely a crime."
They hadn't even left the building yet, and the charges were already being pinned on them.
Juno's tone hardened. "If I wanted to pursue this, I could sue you all into absolute bankruptcy."
They would be in debt for generations.
The legal team in Blackwood City had that kind of power.
Since the executives were leaving anyway, were they really going to sit there and let Juno point fingers and curse them out?
They collected paychecks without doing any real work, which was why the Corrington family hadn't seen any progress in the jewelry industry.
So what if she yelled at them a few times?
Not firing them was already doing them a huge favor, wasn't it?
The executive had finally let out all his pent-up frustration from the past few years. He didn't care what Margie had to say; he just felt physically and mentally liberated.
He continued mocking her. "Everyone knows the youngest daughter of the Corrington family is completely worthless but still insists on getting involved. You've caused so many messes since you were young. If your two brothers hadn't been covering for you, you'd have been beaten to a pulp by now."
Margie stared in disbelief. "Is this really how you all see me?"
The crowd behind him quickly chimed in.
"What? Is he wrong?"
"Hah, she hasn't even taken a good look in the mirror."
"We're done serving you."
Juno shifted her gaze to the executive. "No matter how incompetent she is, she has two brothers to back her up. Even if she's a failure, she has a massive family empire to waste. But as for you—are you so sure that once you walk out of LK's doors today, the Talbot family will actually hire you as promised?"
