The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 310

Her stone gown seemed to flow in the frozen wind—a perfect blend of ruthless power and quiet elegance. The silent Guardian of the Obsidian Court.

The convoy navigated the outer maze and finally penetrated the inner sanctum.

A few minutes into the drive, both Morgan and Kian sensed that something was fundamentally wrong.

The patrols were marching their normal routes.

The wind was still howling.

The blizzard raged on.

Everything looked exactly as it should.

But the atmosphere was suffocating.

As they approached the main courtyard leading to the grand hall, the convoy abruptly stopped.

The driver turned around. "We can't go any further."

The entire pathway ahead was blocked by a massive crowd of people, all kneeling in the snow.

Kian frowned. The road was more than wide enough; how could they be blocked?

He rolled down the window and leaned out to check. One look was all it took for his heart to plummet.

Noticing his reaction, Morgan opened his eyes. "What is it?"

Kian pulled his head back inside, his expression grim. "The top brass who run the global branches just got back."

Morgan didn't see the issue. "So? Isn't it tradition for the inner circle to spend the holidays here?"

"The issue is that they just got back, and every single one of them is currently kneeling in the snow outside the grand hall."

If the entire leadership was on their knees, it meant LORD was awake. And she was furious.

Morgan let out a quiet cough. "Let's go. Get out of the car."

She knew.

Kian pressed his lips into a thin line, draped another heavy coat over Morgan's shoulders, and stepped out. Guards immediately rushed over with umbrellas to shield them from the blizzard.
