The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 311

Morgan drops to his knees, his head bowed in silence.

Kian Zimmer rushes up from behind and drops to his knees beside him. "LORD, whatever he did, his condition isn't suited for kneeling right now."

Juno Mercer's dark eyes swirl with an indescribable, lethal chill. "Did I tell him to get on his knees?"

Kian lowers his head, speechless.

"If he likes being on his knees, let him stay there," she states coldly.

The Corrington and Jagger families—minus Gerda and Matilda—stand quietly in an inconspicuous corner of the grand hall.

The atmosphere is suffocating, pressing down heavily on their chests.

Margie Corrington looks at Juno's terrifyingly dark mood and murmurs, "Did you see that? When we came in, there were so many people kneeling outside."

Babur Corrington replies, "Aunt Margie, we came in together. We all saw it."

Margie is still in a daze. "The people out there are industry titans. A single cough from them would shake the market. Some even partner with the Corringtons. They're at the absolute top of the food chain, and right now... they're all on their knees in the snow."

Just because Juno is angry. Even though the fault isn't theirs.

In this moment, Margie suddenly understands why Juno acts with such unbridled arrogance.

She has the capital to back it up. Everyone here is Juno's foundation.

Juno spins her phone in her hand, silent. The snow outside falls heavier, showing no signs of stopping. The people inside can kneel all night, but the titans freezing out in the storm won't last much longer.

This needs to be resolved quickly.

Morgan is thinking the exact same thing. Just as he opens his mouth to speak, Juno's icy voice slices through the room.

"How many people did you deploy?"

Lucia Corbett quickly answers from the floor, "Four thousand. Plus three bombers."
