Let's not waste our time. Besides, Willow is completely useless anyway. This pile of cash is the most value she's ever brought us. Are you really going to waste all this money just to drag her back?"
Cassie's words hit Carmela like a bucket of cold water.
She was right. Willow wasn't worth the legal fees!
Carmela immediately dropped to her knees to scramble for the scattered bills, muttering to herself, "Your dad couldn't even make this much in a year."
.
In the car, Juno pulled out the pre-prepared contract and handed it to Willow. "This is your contract. Read it over. Ask me if there's anything you don't understand."
Willow accepted the paperwork with both hands, looking at Juno with overwhelming gratitude.
As she flipped through the pages, she didn't just blindly sign it in a rush of emotion. She maintained her composure and read every single clause meticulously, which was exactly the kind of level-headedness Juno appreciated in her.
She didn't let her emotions dictate her business.
And that was exactly the kind of artist Rhoda desperately needed.
During the drive, Willow occasionally paused to ask questions, and Juno patiently clarified every single point.
The car pulled up outside Rhoda's agency, and Morgan stepped out to open the door.
Rhoda was already waiting by the entrance. Seeing that Juno had actually brought the girl with her, she looked absolutely stunned. "I tried so many times and couldn't even get past the front door, and you just casually snatch her up."
Rhoda was a polite businesswoman who played by the rules. Juno was absolutely not.
Juno was unapologetic, wildly arrogant, and completely unbound by societal norms.
Her ruthless efficiency and uncompromising mindset had crafted an image of a woman who simply took whatever she wanted.
Juno nodded slightly. "I brought her to you. Make sure you treat her well."
"I'm a big fan of her work. I'll take good care of her, I promise."
"I'll be going then," Juno said.
After peacefully rotting in the hospital for half a month, Juno's injuries were mostly healed, and she finally decided to show up at school.
That afternoon, she was planning to grab some barbecue with Chuck, but just as she walked out of the campus gates, Janet Dempsey blocked her path.
Janet looked incredibly frantic. "Do you have a minute?!"
"No," Juno replied breezily, stepping sideways to walk past her.
Janet sidestepped to block her again. "Babur got into serious trouble at school! The other kid's parents are here and they are completely unhinged! Rhiannon is in there trying to handle it but she's getting crushed, so I thought you could help!"
Manny Wright's father was an absolute barbarian, and Janet figured the only person wild enough to put him in his place was Juno.
Juno narrowed her eyes, smirking lazily. "You seem pretty invested in Babur's life."
Janet completely froze, at a total loss for words, before her face flushed bright red. "Are you coming or not?!"
Chuck suddenly materialized right behind Janet, his voice as frigid as arctic ice. "She's supposed to be getting dinner with me. Where exactly are you trying to take her?"
