Claire filled a wooden tub from her storage space with hot spring water and scattered a few flower pe across the surface.

She had picked the petals from along the edges of the black soil fields in her storage space. They cam several colors, and although they weren’t as fragrant as roses, they had a charm of their own.

“It’s been so long since I’ve had a proper bath. This feels amazing!”

They had been sleeping outdoors for the past few days, so she hadn’t had anywhere to relax and soak

Claire had already placed Davy inside her storage space and blocked Pomella’s view. Then she sank beneath the water and let her mind go completely blank.

A pair of pale, slender hands reached over the side of the tub and lifted Claire straight out of the water.

Zane had never told Claire that his wolf ears were extremely sensitive. Her soft hands rubbing them bad and forth now sent waves of pleasure through him.

“Mmm, Claire, are you done yet?”

Zane’s voice had turned low and hoarse, as though he were barely holding himself back.

Claire let out a quiet “oh,” finally stopped, and studied his face.

His cheeks were bright red, and even his neck had turned pink. His eyes were fixed on her with unmistakable desire.

Claire understood immediately. A shy smile curved her lips as she nodded.

“Yeah.”

That one word was all the permission Zane needed.

After being apart for so long, Claire found Zane tender and unhurried one moment, then fierce and uninhibited the next, leaving her thoughts in complete disarray.

As her mind grew hazy, she heard Zane ask softly, Claire, after being apart for so long, did you miss me?”

Claire answered without hesitation, “Yes… Of course I did…”

Zane’s movements became even more intense.

“Wow, you don’t see raspberries very often!”

Claire picked up a raspberry and ate it. The sweet-tart flavor immediately whetted her appetite.

Hearing her eat, Marcus slowly explained, “Zane is helping the lynx clan dig wells right now.”

Claire nodded. With Zane there, she didn’t need to worry about the wells.

Then she remembered that no one might be watching the younglings and hurried to get up, only for Marcus to press her back onto the bed.
