Chapter 145 Stuck Under Tower
Soon it was the fourth minion wave.
Both mid–laners had hit level four and unlocked their ultimates.
The enemy mid–laner’s hero was called Lactus. In this patch, she was S–tier. She required a bit of skill, but wasn’t too hard, so a lot of people played her–mostly guys.
Lactus was extremely strong after level four.
Blade Destroyer was now level four, and his Jungler had come over too. He pinged to group up and had he Jungler hide in the river brush nearby. As soon as that noob girl showed her face, they could kill her instantly.
Scarlett pinged the left–side river near mid lane, telling her teammates, “Enemy Jungler is camping in that >rush. Eva, don’t come through here.”
Even as she spoke, she had already stepped out of the tower and exposed herself.
Eva and Alex couldn’t understand why she would walk out when she knew the enemy Jungler was waiting
n the river.
They thought she had misclicked.
Some girls played games like that. Even knowing someone was hiding in the brush, they just had to poke heir head out to test it.
Like they just had to see for themselves.
The two of them were about to warn her.
But Scarlett’s fingers were already flying at incredible speed, pressing 1, 5, 3, 2, and 4 in rapid succession.
Lorelea could be considered the hardest hero in all of Dread Legends, and an absolutely insane one at hat.
Because if you used her skills one at a time, the damage was pathetically low. Even a Support’s basic attack
did more.
But if you combined them, she was unstoppable.
For example, the combo Scarlett just executed was a cleanse combo.
Her combos could be divided into five types. Cleanse, crowd control, invincibility where you couldn’t be controlled or take damage, and two damage combos.
Five different combos in total.
The one Scarlett just used was the cleanse.

The other combos required different button sequences. Like 5-1-2-3-3 for crowd control, 2-3-1-5-4 for invincibility, 4-1-3-2-5 for damage, and 3-5-1-2-4 for the other damage combo.
And none of her five skills was her ultimate.
You had to execute all five combos first, and then the ultimate would automatically activate.
Her ultimate was also an invincibility state, plus an insanely high burst of area damage that could one–shot people.
Consider that five digits arranged in different five–digit combinations made 120 possible sequences.
Even though you only needed to memorize five of those combinations, it was still considered extremely difficult in the gaming world.
It was also incredibly flexible. Depending on which enemy hero you faced, you needed different starting combos.
When this hero first came out, a lot of people tried to learn her.
In the end, everyone realized she was just too hard. The developers got flamed for ages. People said the game was a turd and that even its own mother wouldn’t play Lorelea. That’s why she earned the nickname “The DOA Queen” in the community.
In the two years since this hero’s release, only a handful of players could actually play her well.
And even they had to practice for ages before they could execute all five combos smoothly.
After all, you had to input a full combo within two seconds. Any longer and it failed, counting as just a basic attack.
Most people couldn’t even get their ultimate off. They couldn’t even execute one of the five–button combos within two seconds.
Because in an actual game, enemies weren’t going to stand still and wait for you to press your buttons.
Scarlett’s cleanse combo came out in less than half a second.
The enemy Jungler immediately threw out their crowd control.
It was instantly cleansed by Scarlett.
Meanwhile, Blade Destroyer also dashed in with a full combo aimed at Scarlett.
But Scarlett had already pressed 2-3-1-5-4 the instant he moved–invincibility.
She tanked Blade Destroyer’s maximum damage burst without losing a single point of health.
The invincibility lasted one and a half seconds.

Scarlett followed up with a damage combo, then a crowd control combo, and another damage combo.
Blade Destroyer and the enemy Jungler were already down to half health.
They couldn’t even react before Scarlett hit them with crowd control, locking them down.
Scarlett had now executed all five combos.
Her ultimate activated instantly.
Invincibility plus massive area damage.
Blade Destroyer and the Jungler died instantly, their bodies hitting the ground in mid lane.
