The Ultimate Reborn Heiress

Chapter 19 Slash Your Own Faces

[Heh, the Scarlett stans upstairs are so obvious. It’s all praise. Her face got ruined, and her company still spends this much to protect her.]

[Can Scarlett’s haters please go away? You crawl out of the woodwork every time someone says something nice about her.]

[Hahaha, did you guys notice Nelson, Selina, and the other one? The three of them stacked on the stairs like a ‘curious cat peeking‘ meme. Adorable.]

Scarlett had just taken a bite of the crispy fried fish–crisp on the outside, tender inside, perfectly sweet and sour.

It was insanely good.

Sure enough, with spiritual essence added, even simple food reached perfection.

After that first bite, she heard Zayden’s suggestion. She flicked him a glance and gave a cold laugh. “Get lost.”

Selina and the other two onlookers widened their eyes.

Scarlett was really something.

They genuinely admired the nerve it took to snap like that on a broadcast.

Even Michael straightened up, his eyes shining with excitement.

There it was–the spike in drama and viewership they’d been waiting for

The rest of the staff didn’t even try to hide it; a few literally sucked in a sharp breath.

[Savage. I thought she’d at least pretend to be polite for the cameras.]

(Can’t deny it–Scarlett’s changed a lot.)

If I’d been screwed over that badly, I’d change, too. Once you’re already disfigured, who cares about anyone else’s feelings? Just live for yourself.)

[Heh. Is she trying to build a whole new persona now?)

Zayden’s face flushed bright red. He wanted to say something back, but he was afraid she’d tear into him again and refuse to let it go.

Brianna couldn’t hold back. Furious, she snapped, “Why are you cursing people out? Zayden didn’t say anything wrong. Even if we have some personal issues, we’re on a show now and in the same group–we’re supposed to help each other.

You cook, we wash dishes, everyone gets along. And look at all that food–can you even finish it alone?”

There was still over half a pot of rice in the cooker in front of Scarlett.

The two dishes and the soup were generous portions.

Brianna refused to believe Scarlett could finish everything; it would just get wasted.

Waste was shameful, after all.

But so what? Brianna had benefited from it. She wasn’t innocent.

“But her recovery is insanely fast. It’s only been, what, half a month? The scar is just a line, no raised keloid at all. With some dermatology work, maybe it really won’t leave a mark.”

“Impossible. Even with treatments, it can’t disappear completely. At best, it fades, and with makeup and non–4K cameras, you basically won’t notice it.”

“A faint line is still a scar. And it’s long–over four inches. That counts as disfigurement.”

“Ugh, Zayden and Brianna are tanking their likability. Do they think waving money around makes everything okay?”

“But to be fair, they weren’t the ones who actually cut her. Scarlett going this hard on them is a bit much.”

“Yeah, but if Zayden hadn’t smeared her first–saying she tried to seduce him—his fan wouldn’t have attacked her. This all started with him.”

The comments section devolved into another full–blown argument.

Scarlett gave a cold laugh. “My face is healing fast because I’m good at what I do. The scar- removing ointment I made works.

“I already said—if you want my forgiveness, slash your own faces to look like mine did right after the attack. Then maybe I’ll consider letting you try my cooki

The live chat exploded. [What kind of scar cream is that? That’s insane. Can the show please ask Scarlett what brand it is? I had my chin stitched up badly and have keloids–my scar is still super obvious.]

[Did you not listen? She said she made it herself. I remember her grandfather is a traditional doctor, and the Sanchezes are kind of a traditional–medicine family. They might really have a scar–removal recipe.]

[Holy–so, are we saying her ointment might actually make her face heal without a single trace?]
