Chapter 259 The Retest
Finished
“She cheated on that Grade 11 monthly exam before. I heard it was just a tiny paper ball,” someone whispered. Who cheats with a little scrap of paper like that? That’s just stupid.”
“I wish time would pass faster. I really want to know how she’s doing on the retest today.”
“I heard they reduced the exam content. Even so, it should still take a full day to finish.”
Inside the school leadership office, Scarlett looked at the people standing in front of her.
There were three school administrators. Besides Ronald, the other two were also familiar faces from the meeting last night.
Lulu was there too. She was the homeroom teacher of Class H. Since her student was taking the retest, she came to observe, though she wasn’t an official proctor.
Ronald handed Scarlett a test paper.
“This is the Eefali paper. Start with this one. The exam has fewer questions than before. There’s no essay now, but the total score is still the same.”
He continued explaining. “Each paper is worth 800 points. The total score is still 1600. The exam lasts all day. Three subjects in the morning. Three subjects in the afternoon.”
Scarlett spoke calmly. “That’s not necessary. Just give me all six papers.”
To Scarlett, the test was actually easier now. The essay was gone, and several questions had been removed. She could get it done fast.
During the mock exam a few days ago, she had slowed down a little because other students were in the
room.
But now there was no need to worry about that. She could finish much faster.
“What?” Ronald frowned, thinking he had heard wrong. “Scarlett, what did you say?”
Scarlett repeated calmly. Just give me all the test papers. There’s no need to wait until this afternoon. I can finish them all right away”
To her, it wouldn’t take long at all.
Ronald let out a cold laugh. “You really talk big. Fine I’ll give them all to you. Let’s see if you can really finish them in the morning. If you can’t buish, then you’ve already seen the questions. After lunch, you won’t be allowed to continue Your score will count as zero
The other two administrators beside him tried to stop him, but Ronald had already pulled open the
locked drawer
He took out the remaining five test papers and slammed them down in front of Scarlett
Scarlett didn’t even look up. She stacked the other five papers underneath and started with the Eelali test.

Her eyes swept across the page in a single glance. Then she began writing the answers.
She worked so fast that no one could look away.
The three administrators were stunned when she started writing immediately.
By the time they snapped out of it. Scarlett was already working on the first section–reading comprehension.
Curious, the three administrators leaned over to check the questions she had just answered.
The first section was a reading passage.
Three multiple–choice questions came first. followed by two analysis questions.
They couldn’t understand it. The passage alone was over a thousand words long. Scarlett had only lowered her head for a second before she began writing. Had she even read the passage? But the truth was simple.
Scarlett had already scanned the entire passage in one glance. Now she was just writing the answers.
The second section tested poetry reading and fill–in–the–blank questions.
The third section focused on language usage, including multiple choice, blanks, and short analysis
questions.
By the time the administrators finished reading the passage from the first section, Scarlett had already pulled our the next test paper.
They hadn’t even finished the first section yet.
But Scarlett had already completed the entire test within ten minutes.
And that was only because most of the questions required written explanations.
Worse sall, the person who designed the exam clearly had bad intentions. Only one question used Grade Il material. The other two major sections were based on advanced Grade 12 texts, topics usually taught much later in the year.
It was obvious the test maker didn’t want Scarlett to succeed.
Bar Scarlett fined the entire paper in ten minutes
Her handwriting was neat and beautiful
Even Ludu looked a little dazed.
She was even faster than she had been during the exam a few days ago
Had she slowed down before because she disht want to pressure the other students in the room?
Ronald’s expression slowly changed rapidly. Finally, he fell silent.

The other two administrators looked almost the same.
Scarlett picked up the Eefali test next.
There was no listening section.
Most of the questions were multiple choice or fill–in–the–blank, which made it even faster to finish.
It almost looked as if she didn’t need to read the questions at all. Her pen moved without pause, writing answer after answer.
It didn’t even take ten minutes.
Then she moved on to math. After that, history, chemistry, and biology.
All six test papers were finished in less than an hour.
And there was something even more surprising. About 80 percent of the questions on the other papers were also Grade 12 material.
But for Scarlett, it made no difference.
The three administrators were now completely stunned.
The other two slowly turned to look at Ronald.
Ronald instinctively shook his head.
There was no way he had leaked the test questions. In fact, he had only printed the exams ten minutes before the test began.
