Out of the corner of her eye, Scarlett saw Yvonne walking closer.

Lavender looked hurt and said softly, “Scarlett, why would I ever curse your mother? You can’t accuse me when you have no proof.”

Scarlett stared at Lavender. She wanted to slap the other side of Lavender’s face.

He paused, then added excitedly, “I wonder if the male lead is here today.”

Then he suddenly squinted. “Hey, isn’t that Scarlett? Why is she chatting with Yvonne like they’re friends? I remember she used to bully you a couple of years ago, right?”

Lavender stayed silent. She stared at Scarlett and Yvonne talking in the distance. Her face looked stiff with embarrassment.

Luke muttered, “That Scarlett really is lucky. Not long ago the whole internet was attacking her. So many scandals. And she was even disfigured. Somehow, she managed to turn things around.”
