Chapter 276 A Surprising Medical Skill

Medicine and heat packs could ease the pain for a while, but the ache always came back after a few days.

Yet this girl had spotted his bad knees in just one glance.

Yvonne smiled and said, “Do you believe how capable Scarlett is now? These days, entertainment companies require their artists to go live online every month. Scarlett does live streams too, but she doesn’t just chat with fans. She diagnoses people’s health problems and treats them. She’s helped quite a few people with difficult illnesses.”

young girl really was impressive. With just a quick look, she had figured out that Willard had bad knees.

To be honest, they had known Willard for years, yet none of them realized he had knee trouble.

And this girl even treated patients during her livestreams.

Her character seemed just as good as her skills.

Willard looked at Scarlett with hopeful eyes.

Before he could say anything, Scarlett smiled and said, “Mr. Holden, your knees are acting up right now, aren’t they? How about I help you ease the pain now?”

Willard rubbed his knee joints again. “Can this actually cure it?”

“Of course it can,” Scarlett said with a smile.

It wasn’t a serious illness at all. After a few needle therapy sessions and some herbal ointment she made herself, it would be gone after a few rounds of treatment.

A smile finally appeared on Willard’s face.

It could really be cured.

Willard said gently, “After the audition is over, I hope Ms. Sanchez can help treat me.”

“No need to wait until after the audition.” Scarlett’s eyes curved with a bright smile. “I carry my needles with me. Your knees are hurting right now, so I can treat you immediately. A few needles will help relieve the pain. As for the ointment, I’ll have to make that after I get home. I can mail it to you tomorrow, if that works.”

Doctors who practiced traditional medicine often carried their needles with them. They could save lives.

Willard had no reason to refuse. He quickly added Scarlett as a contact on his phone.

Scarlett took out her needles and disinfected them before starting the treatment.

For knee problems, the needles were placed around the legs, which made the treatment fairly

easy.

Soon, more than a dozen thin needles were placed into Willard’s legs.

Not long after, he felt the pain slowly fading away. His legs began to feel warm, and the warmth seemed to travel through his body in a strange but comfortable way.

Yvonne and Calvert both stood up and walked closer to watch.

This was the first time Yvonne had actually seen Scarlett treat someone in person, and she found it fascinating.

Scarlett glanced at her and smiled. “Thelma’s legs can be treated too. When she comes back from Jyncrest City, I’ll help fix them.”

Thelma was Yvonne’s mother. Years ago, she had soaked in icy lake water during winter, which left lasting damage in her knees. Her condition was far worse than Willard’s and had already started affecting how she walked.

Yvonne smiled. “Thank you, Scarlett.”

About fifteen minutes later, Scarlett removed the needles from Willard’s legs.

Willard moved his legs and looked amazed.

“The pain is completely gone.”

Traditional medicine was truly incredible.

So was this young girl. She was so young, yet her medical skills were already this impressive.

Scarlett smiled. “When I get home this afternoon, I’ll prepare the ointment and send it tomorrow. If you have time, Mr. Holden, you can come for therapy once a week. It will help your knees heal faster.”

Willard nodded. “Alright. I’ll come see you every week. Thank you. How much do I owe you for the treatment?”

Scarlett thought for a moment. “680 dollars. 100 for the therapy and about 580 for the herbs

needed to make the ointment.”

The herbs for treating knee pain were not expensive.

That price covered all the ointment he would need.

Willard was stunned.

That was incredibly cheap.

He quickly transferred the money to Scarlett.

Even Calvert added Scarlett’s contact information.

After all, no one could guarantee they would never get sick. It was rare to meet such a talented doctor-especially one skilled in traditional medicine. Of course he wanted to stay in touch.

Even if Scarlett didn’t pass the audition, they should keep in contact.

Calvert even thought that if she failed the audition for Princess Mona, he might still find another role for her somewhere.

Calvert smiled and said, “We still have some time. Scarlett, why don’t you do the audition now? No need for anything complicated. Just perform a short scene for us.”

Even the way he addressed her had changed. Like Yvonne, he now called her Scarlett.

If she wasn’t right for the role, he could judge her acting skills.

He hasn’t produced many shows now, but he knows plenty of directors. Surely he could help her find a few roles.

Scarlett smiled. “Alright, I’ll audition here.”

The sooner it was done, the sooner she and Maggie could head back to Brookriver.

The office was quite spacious, Scarlett could move freely for her audition.
