Chapter 32 She Had Lost
It was obvious who “Ms. Sanchez” was.
Basically, Scarlett’s 100,000 wasn’t a reward for this latest act of bravery.
It was the combined reward money for two previous unsolved murder cases.

The police had talked it over and decided to help Scarlett out. They felt like a young girl who does the right thing, saves lives, and helps them catch a serial killer shouldn’t be treated badly.
They wanted to clear her name so people wouldn’t just believe whatever the brainless trolls online were saying.
[Dang, so that’s the truth. I almost got fooled by those haters. I thought this actress had a rich backer. Turns out she’s just that badass–helped catch the killer in two murder cases.]
[Checked her out. She’s actually really pretty.]
[Scarlett is gorgeous. Go watch her on Faces of the Crowd. Bare face! Even with a scar on half her face, it doesn’t hurt her looks. Her features are striking. She looks amazing.]
[Hazel’s fans are hilarious. When Scarlett posted a video of Hazel hugging another woman’s boyfriend, they had nothing to say, so they started claiming Scarlett has ‘backing.‘]
[How’s that for a reality check? She earned every penny of that 100k! If Hazel can do the same, tell her to solve two murder cases first.”
In just a short time, public opinion flipped.
Hazel’s fans went quiet and stopped posting.
They knew that if they said anything, a mob of random internet users–not even just Scarlett’s fans–would jump all over them.
But a few fans couldn’t accept it and started fighting with netizens.
Everyone else was fed up with them, especially since those fans kept defending Hazel.
So people swarmed Hazel’s Instagram, telling her to control her fans and calling her fake and two–faced.
Hazel was at home, crying her eyes out.
Leona never expected that to be the truth behind Scarlett’s reward money

Even though the post from the official account didn’t say her full name, everyone knew who “Ms. Sanchez” was.
Leona dared to use public opinion to attack Scarlett, but she didn’t dare go after the government’s official account. That would be like going against the government.
Leona knew she had lost this round.
She comforted her daughter. “Hazel, stop crying. She just won one round, that’s all. It’s still early. She won’t beat us. I’ll make sure you get that crystal bead. I just need to figure out how to sweet–talk her back into the Bailey Residence.”
Leona didn’t take Scarlett’s win too seriously. To her, it was just luck.
In her mind, Scarlett was nothing compared to her, especially since she held all the best cards.
After calming her daughter down, Leona had Hazel post on Instagram.
Hazel was a public figure. She couldn’t stay silent about this.
Hazel wrote, “I’m sorry about what happened. I’ve been busy with my private tutors these last two days and only just found out about all this.
“Raymond and I have known each other since we were 12. We’re childhood friends. My sister misunderstood us. If Raymond and I have any feelings for each other, it’s only like brother and sister. He likes my sister.
“Sometimes he even asks me about her. Anyway, I hope they can work things out and be happy together. I’ll be more careful with how I act from now on.
“I also hope my fans can stay calm. Please don’t attack other netizens or Scarlett. I love her, and I hope she comes home soon. Our family is worried about her.”
Her fans were very obedient.
They stopped going after Scarlett.
Instead, they flooded Hazel’s comments with support, asking if studying was tiring and telling her to take care of herself.
But Scarlett wasn’t about to let Hazel off that easily.
After the livestream ended that night, she sent Cedric a message.
She told him to have the PR team stir things up and send paid trolls to flood Hazel’s Instagram.
Hazel wasn’t part of Joyner Entertainment Group. Cedric was more than happy to help and
