Chapter 46 Back in the City
Sophia didn’t leave right away. She stayed and chatted with Hendrix for a while.
She kept taking photos around the Sanchez Residence, even snapping photos of the medicine cabinets Scarlett had fixed.
She also took a photo of the wood carving Scarlett gave her and posted it to the group chat.
Wade replied. “Sophia, where did you find this picture? This carving is insane. But I can’t tell what technique was used. Which master made this?”
Sophia replied, “Hehe, someone gave it to me.”
Nicholas, Skyler, and Wade were stunned. “Who gave it to you? Which master?”
They all knew the top wood carving masters in Dragoria.
Sophia replied, “The one who was fixing the roof. She casually carved a small piece and gave it to me.”
The three of them were even more confused. What did she mean by “casually“? A masterpiece like that usually takes forever to finish.
“So who is this person? Some hidden master? Sophia, you’re so lucky to run into them.”
Sophia replied, “She is a master, but not hidden. She’s a young girl named Scarlett Sanchez. I think she’s also a celebrity.”
The group went silent.
A few minutes later, they sent Scarlett’s profile into the chat and asked in shocked voice messages, “Sophia, you mean this celebrity?”
Seeing all the rumors there, they wondered if Sophia had the wrong person.
Or maybe this young celebrity was trying to fool Sophia into building a new image for herself.
Sophia glanced at the gossip and snorted.
She didn’t believe any of it, especially the claim that Scarlett cheated on exams in high school.
This level of carving didn’t require sketches or planning. There was no hesitation–she just went straight to work, and the result was stunning.
It was obvious that Scarlett’s overall abilities were on another level.
She excelled in reasoning, spatial thinking, memory, observation, creativity, and calculation.
With skills like that, studying would never be a problem.
Cheating? No way.
Sophia said, “Believe whatever you want. She agreed to help me restore an ancient building next week. I’m

heading back now to print out the materials for her.”
Once Scarlett finished restoring that old building, they would believe it.
Alina drove back to the city.
As soon as Milo got in the car, he fell asleep.
Alina was very talkative and kept chatting with Scarlett the whole way.
She told Scarlett that she wasn’t going to let things slide. She was planning to gather evidence and sue Luke, even if he was a minor.
Scarlett nodded. “He should be sued.”
Being this bad at such a young age–he needed a lesson.
Alina soon dropped Scarlett off in the city.
They exchanged contact info so it would be easier to stay in touch if anything came up.
When Scarlett got home, she checked on Blackie the cat.
Blackie had been staying at the villa for the past two days. Scarlett had even installed a little cat door so she could go in and out to play in the yard whenever she wanted.
Blackie’s injuries were looking much better. The inflamed spots had scabbed over.
She had eaten plenty of food and finished most of her water.
Scarlett had been generous with the water, adding several drops of spiritual essence into it.
The effect was great. Blackie looked way better.
In a few days, her fur would probably start growing back, and she’d start gaining some weight.
When Blackie saw Scarlett come back, she circled around her, meowing nonstop. Then she flopped onto the ground and showed her belly for some rubs.
“Good girl,” Scarlett said with a smile as she crouched down and rubbed her. Her fur felt so soft, though she was still a bit skinny.
Cats really were the cutest.
Big cats like tigers were even cuter.
Too bad she couldn’t raise one.
Meanwhile, Alina and Milo made it home.
Her house wasn’t far from Scarlett’s neighborhood–about a ten–minute drive.

When they walked in. Alina’s husband, Silas Manning, finally breathed a sigh of relief.
He had just gotten home, flying back from overseas. His job kept him traveling all the time, back and forth between countries.
Yesterday, when Alina called to say Milo fell into the river and almost drowned, he dropped everything and flew home, leaving his team behind.
Now that he saw them safe, he felt much calmer and asked, “How did Milo fall into the water? Is he okay?”
