Chapter 55 Blood Secrets
Eloshed
His mom cared about one thing only–money. No investments, no schemes, and no tricks could ever take even one dollar from her.
Scarlett let out a quiet sigh. “What I mean is this,” she said calmly. “Your father has another family outside the home. He also has another child.”
She wasn’t guessing. She had seen it clearly in the young man’s astrological chart and his aura.
The young man stared at Scarlett, eyes wide.
Just moments ago, he had almost believed she truly knew psychic reading.
Now it looked more like she had somehow heard about his sister and was making up the rest.
His father was an honest man. There was no way he had another family.
[This feels like nonsense.]
[Yeah. The part about his sister might be real, but the rest sounds fake.]
The young man was about to argue when a woman suddenly ran out from the entrance of the apartment complex.
She looked around 50 years old. The moment she saw him, she burst into tears and ran over. Rick stared at her in surprise. “Mom? What’s wrong? Why are you crying?”
“Rick!” she cried. “Your father cheated! He has an illegitimate child outside! The child is already three years old!”
Rick froze. “Mom, what are you talking about?”
The woman sobbed harder. “I wanted to buy you a house, so I asked your father for the money he saved. He kept dodging the question and said it was all gone. That didn’t make sense. He eats at his company every day, what does he even spend money on?
“So I forced him to show me. I grabbed his phone and found everything. He’s been in contact with another woman for years. Just a few days ago, he sent her over 100,000 dollars to buy a house! That’s when I found out the truth. That bastard betrayed us long ago. The child is already three!”
It was a girl.
But she didn’t have the courage to tell her son that part.

Chapter 55 Blood Secrets
She had confronted her husband. He told her that after their daughter died, he had need in pain for years. Even without a divorce, he couldn’t face this family anymore. That was why he
[What the heck! Scarlett was right?!]
[Yeah right. Totally scripted.]
[Get lost, haters. You said the last home invasion murder was scripted too. Look how that turned out.]
[Honestly, this is wild. A normal guy, a normal family, and he still cheats. And another woman even has a kid with him. I don’t get it.]
[He only cheated because that woman drove him crazy. Look at her–always yelling. Of course the man got fed up.]
[Get out of here. If he couldn’t stand it anymore, he should’ve gotten a divorce. Cheating and having a kid is still wrong and illegal.]
Rick’s mind spun. His head buzzed like a swarm of bees.
So, Scarlett had really gotten it right.
Scarlett raised an eyebrow. “So, are you ready to pay now?”
Rick turned to her. His lips trembled. His eyes were red. He looked like he might cry at any second.
The older neighbors leaned in, faces full of curiosity. Their eyes went back and forth between Rick and his mother.
“Did this girl really get it right?”
“Looks like it. Daisy’s crying with her son.”
“Maybe she really does have a gift.”
Just then, a loud cry came from down the street.
“Mom, please let go! I–I don’t want to go! Please! I’ll work, I promise! I’m 16 now. I can get a job. I’ll send the money home.
“Please don’t marry me off. I’ll earn the 500,000 dollars for you. I swear I will. Please, Mom, please…”
Everyone turned toward the neighborhood gate.

Chapter 55 Blood Secrets
A sharp–faced woman in her 40s was dragging a very thin teenage girl toward the street. She was trying to pull her into a taxi parked nearby.
The neighbors stopped watching Rick and Daisy.
They began pointing and whispering.
“Isn’t that Callic and her mom?”
“What’s going on?”
