When the young man stayed silent, Scarlett raised an eyebrow. “So? Are you getting a reading

or not?”

He was annoyed, but he still spoke. “I’ll do it. But if you get it wrong, we go by what I said earlier. If you get it right…” He hesitated. “Then I–I’ll tag Hazel on Instagram and tell her to stop pretending to be all sweet and innocent.”

[LOL, this guy has nerves of steel. If Scarlett really gets it right and he calls Hazel out on Instagram, her fans will tear him apart.]

She didn’t care about his extra conditions. She wasn’t going to lose anyway.

“Write down your birth details for me,” Scarlett said.

He wrote them down and handed them over. Scarlett did not show them to anyone else.

When the older folks nearby saw that Scarlett had finally started a reading, they all gathered around to watch.

They recognized the young man from their neighborhood.

Rick stared at Scarlett, frozen.

What she said next was true.
