She had spent the whole day at the tiger enclosure. She had been petting tigers all day long.

Her clothes were full of tiger scent.

No matter what, a tiger is still a king.

For a cat, smelling that kind of scent was terrifying.

Scarlett laughed softly and didn’t try to grab Blackie again.

She went to her room, took a shower, changed her clothes, and cooked something simple to eat.

After that, she called Hendrix.

Scarlett smiled. “That’s a great start. Keep it up, Dad.”

They talked a little longer.

Scarlett also asked if he and Rory were still practicing the moves she taught them last Sunday.

Hendrix laughed. “We are. It feels really hard when we practice, like there’s a lot of resistance. But after five days, Rory and I can finish the whole set now.”

It had only been a few days.

But both he and Rory could already feel the benefits.
