Chapter 310
“I’m not getting up. Mom, please just leave me alone. It’s all my fault. I’ll say sorry to Nathalie. I’ll even get on my knees if that’s what it takes. As long as she forgives me, I’ll do anything…”
Felice yanked herself out of Camilla’s grasp, tears streaming down her
face.
She dropped to the floor, kneeling, her cheeks wet with tears, looking completely defeated and desperate.
“Hold her back,” Nathalie said, her voice cool and steady.
A bodyguard quickly stepped in and pulled Camilla to the side.
Camilla looked at Nathalie, her face pale with fear. “Nathalie, what do you think you’re doing?!”
Daniel glanced at Nathalie too, his guard up. “Nathalie, don’t do anything stupid.”
Nathalie shot him a cold look. “You should mind your own business.”
Daniel’s expression turned even darker.
Nathalie walked up to Felice, one slow step at a time. She crouched down a little, grabbed Felice’s chin, and looked her straight in the eyes.
“So this is your plan? Make them feel sorry for you, act all sad so I’ll lose it and start yelling? You really think you can just push me around like that?”
She let out a little laugh. “If this was the old me, maybe you’d get away with it. You’d look innocent and I’d end up taking all the blame. They’d force me to apologize to you, like always.”
Nathalie shook her head and clicked her tongue. “Back then I was dumb. I just wanted them to like me. Now? I don’t care what they think at all.
So…”
Chapter
A loud smack cracked through the room. Felice screamed and collapsed, her cheek burning from the slap..
“You said you wanted to apologize, so I’m letting you,” Nathalie said.
She grabbed a fistful of Felice’s hair and slapped her again, even harder.
“Stop! You animal! Stop it right now!”
Camilla was pinned down by two bodyguards, watching in horror and screaming at the top of her lungs.
Nathalie turned sharply, her eyes icy cold. “You want to be next?”
“You–you! I’m your mother! If you lay a finger on me, everyone will know you’re a terrible daughter!”
Camilla flinched, but forced herself to keep talking.
Nathalie just laughed softly, then smacked Felice one more time for good measure. Only then did she stand up, brushing off her hands. “I can’t hit you, Mom. But that doesn’t mean nobody else can.”
She looked straight at Daniel.
“So, Dad. The Blair Group or Mom. Which one are you going to save?”
She blinked at him innocently, as if she’d asked him the world’s simplest
question.
Daniel’s eyes went wide. He’d never expected this, never thought she’d turn out this way.
Was this even their daughter? She used to be spoiled for sure, but she’d always been soft, easy to handle, kind beneath it all.
But now? It was like she’d become someone else. Someone who actually
scared them.
